I was treated at a chiropractic clinic affiliated with Good Life Chiropractic under a personal injury claim. Later, I received a lien exceeding $90,000, which I believe was significantly inflated based on the type of care provided. A closer review flagged over $35,000 in questionable charges, including duplicate billing and services routed through multiple entities.

Instead of using standard billing practices tied to CPT codes or insurance benchmarks, the clinic admitted in writing that they calculated their charges based on the anticipated value of the legal settlement — not actual treatment performed. This equity-style billing model lacks transparency and leaves injured patients exposed.

When I challenged the charges, I was met with legal jargon — including vague claims about libel and the assertion that any reimbursement would be considered a “kickback.” They justified the padded charges by claiming they were liable for the costs — but so was I. I personally ensured they were paid by reaching out directly.
