nvitation Homes - Tempe We have 4 college kids renting a house from Invitation Homes. We chose this organization as we felt it would be safer for our children. First problem which was a kitchen sink and dishwasher that did not work. Our kids began eating out as you could not wash dishes in the sink or dishwasher, hence not being able to cook. This took them over a month and a half to repair this. So add up 4 kids eating out for a month and a half. After chasing them down with numerous phone calls they finally issued a concession of $200, and would do nothing more. Then we had a couple of infractions like picking the weeds, etc and were charged $35 for each one. Robbery. The kids immediately remedied the violations as they were not aware of them. These kids are great renters and have taken very good care of the home. Then we received a $75 maintenace fee for no reason. Unbelievable. We have realized that they have set themselves up to charge you for sneezing in their rental. I then went to look at reviews from multiple sites and have realized that I am not the only one. They are a big scam. Great home, but absolutely corrupt management company. After looking at reviews, I am expecting not to get our deposit back regardless of how great the house was taken care of. Keep in mind also this rent was much higher than the majority we looked at, but chose them. I should have read the reviews before. Ugh. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!! Tempe Arizona

2024-Updated review! Still by far the worst rental company! Before you rent check out Invitation Homes Slum Lords. You will find thousands of complaints! So my review is a 1 star review only cause I can't do a half of a star or no star at all! They will put 3 water bills, 3 sewer bills, and 3 trash bills on your rent with 3 taxes and 3 other fees charging you way more than the actual bill! Due to them "forgetting" to charge you every month. Mean while you're neighbors bill comes in 1 bill with 1 tax! THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY! 1 of their property managers called and said to me " I HEARD YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY YOUR RENT?" Thee most unprofessional staff ever. They show up to your house uninvited without warning saying you have a procare appointment but it was never scheduled. This happened 3 times!! With a strange looking guy. They super over charge for the bills and the only way I know is because they made a mistake and put the gas in their name, it was 25 when I paid it, 47 when they paid it! Almost double the original amount. When you try to see the original bill they will send you a fake conservice bill. I tried to call the actual water company for the real bill, they have a restriction on it, I got lucky when they took the gas bill out of our name to find out how they are scamming thousands of their tenants. I signed a lease for 1960$ and it has been everything but that reaching all the way to 3259$ and some change. This company has me super depressed and scared to see my rent every month! Now I just had the Cap office pay my rent, it was supposed to go towards next month's rent, why did they steal almost 400$ from the check? Saying i owed a month to month fee for May, but I moved in on May 6th. They won't hear of returning the money they stole. This company is the worst company ever thought of!! I paid my rent on time there was no fee, they made up a fee to steal the money. I have my original ledger!! This is your warning!! Do not rent from them!! !
