Kilmer Construction Jim Kilmer Jr. James Kilmer, Paid This Contractor $2000.00 and He Never Did and He Never completed any of the work we Hired him for. Carbondale PA,

Dear Rip-off Report:
I have an UPDATE to or 2 rebuttals that Jim Kilmer Construction paid us in full, he broke our contract and did not pay us. Please REMOVE the 2 rebuttals that he paid he's a crook that took advantage of 2 disabled people on fixed incomes.

Our original contract With Kilmer Construction (jimkilmer83@gmail.com 570. 878-6334 stated that he would buy four steel doors and remove the sign on our tree and fix the shelf under the kitchen sink and take the old sign down. He only replaced the range hood which I took three hours to remove the old one, and he billed us $200.00 for putting in the range hood which was a rip-off costing no more than $50.00 as he only took 30 minutes to install the new hood.

Nowhere in the contract did he state fixing the rotted subfloor and flooring under the sink or putting up a new sign, I never should've sign this bogue vague agreement which was very high as he wanted $4000.00 to just replace the hood and shelf under the sing and replace the 4 doors.

We did not hear from him for 8 and a half months as he was working over 100+ hours (He was loaded and could've paid back the full amount to us) after he got his old job back. I broke his contract 2 months later after he purchased all 4 doors but told him that I only wanted the front porch door and I offered to pay him for the 4 doors restocking fees but he never came in the last 8 months with receipts so he could prove what paid and then just take it out of the $2000.00 we paid us and give us the balance of what was left.

We gave him 3 weeks and he said he sent payment twice in emails but never responded when we asked where our payment were. Keith from the Carbondale Police offered to arrest him last week but I said give him one more and if he fails to pay us and brakes his contract with us to make 6 payments starting week ending 4/29/19-June 1st, 2019 to pay us the $1800.00 back.

He never sent any payments in 3 weeks or produced receipts for us to pay him back and give us the balance of what was left.

I called and forwarded all of Jim Kilmer’s emails to Keith the Officer working on arresting him and wanted to know if I wanted him arrested last week, I told Carbondale Officer Keith to give him a 3rd week and I would contact him Monday to arrest him for breaking our agreement and failing to bring us the receipts for the 4 doors so I could pay him the restocking fees.

I called the police and told them, but they said I have to pursue this matter in civil court as now it is out of their jurisdiction to arrest him, but I am hoping after I talk to Keith that he will arrest him. Please REMOVE the other 2 rebuttals that he paid us in full.

We just want this situation resolved for him to give us the receipts for the 4 doors restocking fees and give us the balance of what is left of the $2000.00 we paid him of for him to pay us in FULL $1800.00 For not working on our home 8 and a half months leaving the old original doors off where he could have left it on and it was a security breach.

Anyone could've broken into our home and taken the $3000.00 worth of bikes and antique furniture, the George Forman grill was stolen.

Hi Everyone!

Good News!  After filing a complaint with the Carbondale Police, they visited him and gave him an ultimatum, either have us arrest you now or pay back all the money you took from these people and give them a full refund.  He opted to give us a full refund.

On 4/21/19 We received a call from Kilmer Construction that they were going to send us a money order for the full amount he took from us.

This matter is settled and we have parted terms on a friendly basis.  Please do NOT contact him as per his own words; "I just want to put this situation behind us and part our ways".

Please Close or DELETE this ticket if at all possible.

Great News!

Kilmer Construction After Being Threatened By The Carbondale Police To Be Arrested Or Pay us The $2000.00 He Owed Us Decided To Pay Us Back.

He will be making full return of our payment this week and we thanked him for doing the right thing.

This Mattero is now closed and we do not have to take further legal action against him so Please do not contact him!!!!!
