LTS Transport Services William David Lemonier USDOT Number: 3102902 Took my money and failed to have truck pick up my boat on the date agreed and will not communicate with me since. Sunrise Florida

I did a web search for boat movers 2 months ago as I was shopping for the boat model I wanted across the US. Among the boat transportation responders was David of LTS Transport Services.  He had the best priced shipping quotes and repeadedly assured me he could ship my boat from New Hampshire to Seattle on time, safely and at his quoted price.  I based my whole purchase of this boat so far from Seattle on his written price quote and verbal assurances.

I purchased the boat and said to David at our next phone call, "My boat shipment is all in your hands now that I have bought it based upon your shipping quote."  We talked and emailed many times over the next 2 weeks confirming shipping date, loading location and lift services, delivery location and unloading by lift services in Seattle.  

David went silent 1 week before for the shipping date of May 28th?  I emailed and called him repeatedly almost every day.  Finally, on May 27th he contacted me and tried to blame me for not signing the freight order and paying the deposit he forget to email me the week before!  He took my deposit by credit card along with the signed Freight Order and promissed to have the truck there to pick up the boat the next day.  I again called David on the morning of the 28th and he assured me that the trucker would arrive at 1PM that afternoon ready to load my boat.

I alerted the boat lift operator to be available at 1PM.  I had the boat shrink wrapped to protect it for the long trip to Seattle for a cost of $712.  I am being charged $231 for the standby lift services.  I have been calling every boat transport company for 5 days since and the written quotes I am getting start at $12,000 and go to $20,125!  David's Freight contract with me was for $4,795.

My plan to cruise and fish the Pacific Northwest this summer is wrecked due to David's fradulant missrepresentation of his company's shipping capabilities.  I am facing $1,000s of more cost regarding this boat purchase and am trying to work through that full time every day to make up for David's lying.

For those that have experienced fraud or bad business practices by a freight broker, they are licensed by the Federal DOT's FMCSA administration.  I have filed a fraud complaint with them.  They can revoke their license as can the surety bond company that issued LTS Transport Services required license bond. 

I am having an attorney prepare a law suite for damages.  You can fight back if you have been misstreated by any freight broker regarding a vehicle, house goods move, boat move, etc..  You can look them up on FMCSA's SAFER national database to check if they even have a broker license.  I learned that any high school drop out, ex con, low life can buy a broker license for a few dollars = lots of crooked freight brokers preying on the public.
