Metrowide Appraisal Stay far away from Metrowide Appraisal. Markham Ontario

Allen Baxter was the appraiser from Metrowide Appraisal assigned to my home. We had 2 appraisals done in Jan/2021 and his was the first one. Crosstown Appraisal was the second appraiser which was ordered one week after receiving Metrowide’s appraisal. Allen Baxter appraised my home at $400K less than Crosstown. Mr. Baxter had no clue about the area or knowledge of comps or adjustments. My home has a 232’ frontage (lot size .88 acre) and the comps he used averaged 60’ with no adjustments. 1 was 45' frontage.

He was completely useless and caused a lot of problems. His appraisal cost me $1500 + HST which is completely ludicrous. He also knew I wasn't pleased with his price so this could be a biased report. Crosstown’s appraiser lives in the area and gave me a proper thorough report using correct comps. Crosstown’s appraisal cost $925 + HST. Please stay far away from Metrowide Appraisal. Allen Baxter is completely incompetent and extremely sloppy. Metrowide Appraisal will cost you time and money.
