Nick Geber and I had a prior working relationship, in fact, he was my first client as a budding artist.  Things went great the first time around, I did all the work he asked for, and he paid me what was agreed on, and we were both very happy.  In fact, he's still using the portraits I did for him on his website.

  Nick reached out for me to call him regarding an upcoming job he had for me, and we discussed completely re-doing his podcast studio set, to match his new format.



  I created digital renderings of some conceptual ideas, and we discussed at length the details of my trip out there and what the expectations were during my time in Nevada.  I booked a flight, and a stay in a hotel, and 2 days before my flight, Nick completely backed out on me.  I explained that I had already spent hours of time getting designs ready, and that he still hadn't paid the $500.00 retainer that he offered to secure my services.  He said that I should go ahead and come out, and that we would work everything out. 

Once I got to Las Vegas, he would not answer his phone, and when I went to his house, I knocked on his door for over an hour, in tears, because I just couldn't believe this was happening to me.  To this day he has said nothing to me, and has not compensated me for my time, travel, or other expenses.
