Very bad experience, the manager/owner of this moving company, Joel Penton, is not a trustworthy person who uses dishonesty for his business. I was given a quote at the beginning and I gave him all my trust. After he finished moving my stuff, he said it was more than what he expected and charged me twice the fee. He was also being very rude and said I was at fault that I lied about how much stuff there was, but I told him what furnitures there were plus a few boxes at the beginning very clearly.

I didn’t want to argue with him in the public over a hundred of bucks, esp. in front of my kid, so I paid him to end the argument. During the confrontation I also felt intimidated and somewhat scared because he is a strong muscular guy. Afterwards I still feel very uncomfortable about what happened and feel I have been scammed.

Therefore I am reporting on RipoffReport and also on other platforms to warn potential consumers about this company, NORTHSHORE HAULERS, LLC at  HAMMOND, LA, 70401. The tactics they use is to attract you first with a very low price and after all job is done and cannot be reversed, they then charge a lot more using excuses like you didn’t provide accurate information and even accuse you were the one who lied, not them.
