I am from the Republic of Georgia, and 888 Online Casino scammed me. I started with a modest investment and, through incredible luck, won over $170,000. Initially, they allowed smaller withdrawals, totaling $35,000, but once I won big, they blocked my account without any explanation. For seven days, I heard nothing from them—no reasons given, just complete silence and huge mental distress.
They finally called—but instead of explaining my account's status, they quizzed me with vague, technical gambling questions. I don’t speak English, and since they didn’t offer Georgian support, we had to use Russian as a bridge language. When I didn’t understand some gambling terms, they claimed that I wasn’t the real player on my account.
This was absurd. In live games, only a few buttons are needed. Everything else is left to chance. If I don’t know blackjack or roulette terminology in a non-native language, what does that prove? That I couldn't possibly play those basic games?
My winnings were purely from luck, not advanced strategies or skill. I made several impulsive, high-stakes bets and got incredibly fortunate. This was clearly reflected in my game history, yet they searched for any excuse to deny me my winnings.
They also used my lack of English against me:
"We have received many communications in English through our chat and emails pertaining to your account. It is apparent, though, that these emails are not from you, as you don’t speak English, and it is not you who is actually using this account. You have admitted in several emails that it is not you, but your grandson who plays on this account. This is a clear breach of our terms."
This logic is absurd. 1) Why would I let my grandson play instead of me? The odds don’t improve based on who presses the buttons. 2) If I admitted my grandson was playing on my account in "several emails" and it's a “clear breach of their terms," why didn’t they suspend my account immediately after the first admission? They only remembered this after my big win? 3) And if they believed I wasn’t the one using my account, how could I have made these admissions in the first place? When it suits them, I’m the one using my account; when it doesn’t, it’s suddenly my grandson. Their narrative falls apart under its own contradictions.
888 Casino did not offer support in Georgian, so I used my grandson as a translator. So what? Does that mean now that he was the player? Is this the standard of proof when blocking $135,000?
There’s no definitive way to prove who’s pressing the buttons thousands of miles away in a private home. So, whenever they want to deny your payout, they can claim that a family member was playing on your account, and that’s a breach of contract. How would you defend against that?
In reality, they found no violation on my part. I played only live games, making it impossible to accuse me of hacking or cheating. I provided my ID and banking credentials when asked and followed every rule, but when you win too much, they can fabricate these “contract breaches” at any time. It's obvious that they simply did not want to pay out a large win and were grasping at straws to find any justification.
Interestingly, when I was losing, they had no issues with my account at all. They were happy to take my money without any "investigations" or “concerns” about account legitimacy. The double standard is glaring! This place is simply not safe. Avoid at all costs!
Fortunately, I used a screen cast to document this whole ordeal before they blocked my account, because my intuition was telling me - these people can't be trusted.
