Piedmont Hospital - Joyce Timoteo cruel and patient abuse Columbus Georgia

I was not provided with my relaxing medication prior to undergoing a needle biopsy at Piedmont, which has raised serious concerns about the treatment I received there. It seems that the hospital is attempting to cover up the actions of nurse Joyce, who exhibited cruel behavior and, in my opinion, engaged in patient abuse. Joyce Timoteo, the patient coordinator, not only misrepresented the facts surrounding my case but also attempted to make me appear as if I were lying about my experiences.

Furthermore, both my son and I have been subjected to harassment and discrimination throughout our interactions with the medical staff. On one occasion, I observed that none of the other patients or visitors were required to wear an ID tag, yet I was uniquely provided with a green tag, which felt like a form of unnecessary scrutiny. Interestingly, the security staff did not even ask me for my ID, leading me to wonder why my son was being singled out for this treatment.

During my stay at Piedmont Hospital from October 15, 2023, to November 8, 2023, I faced severe mistreatment while battling a serious illness; I was sick with MRSA. Despite my compromised health and weakness, I was discharged on October 31, 2023. The home health nurses who examined me the very next day expressed their concern, stating that I was too ill to have been sent home. In fact, one of them even called for an ambulance to transport me back to the hospital for further care because they recognized the severity of my condition.

Moreover, during my time at Piedmont, I noticed that the nursing staff paid little attention to my appearance; it was evident that I was not well dressed or looking my best, especially in comparison to some of the other patients who were treated with more dignity. It raises the question of whether Piedmont is intentionally hiding the misconduct of certain doctors and nurses who seem to have behaved cruelly towards patients like myself, particularly in retaliation for the complaints I made about my treatment.

On March 25, 2025, once again, I was not administered my relaxing medication before a procedure that was supposed to alleviate my anxiety and guide me through the process. When I inquired about this omission from the doctor, he merely looked at me with confusion, failing to offer any explanation. Following the completion of the procedure, I approached the nurse to ask why I had not received my medication, and to my dismay, she casually responded that she liked to give people a surprise.

Having had surgeries in the past, I can confidently say that no other nurse had ever responded in such an unprofessional manner. Joyce Timoteo continues to distort the truth in such a way that paints me in a negative light, while seemingly siding with the doctors and nurses involved in my care. Joyce is calling me a down right liar. Then after the procedure was over. I was out in recovery next to another patient who was watching tv LOUD. So I was unable to relax.
