I sold an Art work on Saatchi Art site on Aug 19 . It is September 28 and I’m in a terrible process of trying to get my money or may painting back.
Here is the issue , first the delivery was delayed.
Based on BTX shipping company response the painting was at their Florida facility over 2 weeks before it was delivered since August 23 till September 11th.
Second , I had to contact Saatchi Team to find out that buyer claimed it was damaged .
When I asked to send me a picture with damage they replay in a 2 weeks that still waiting a picture from the buyer .
It’s a scam, buyer could do anything with an art work and claim whatever he / she wants.
There is no way it could be damaged due to packing, as I and my friend packed it according to all the packing steps listed on Saatchi site . You really need to damage it intentionally.
I lost my time , money on packaging material $400 , plus the cost of Art supply .
Saatchi Art receive my money and keep it.
IF ANYONE WAS IN THE SAME SITUATION, PLEASE LIEAVE YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION OR CONTACT ME , WE SHOULD STOP THIS SCAM AND FILE A COLLECTIVE CLAIM AGAINST THEM.
Reason of review: Problems with payment.
Monetary Loss: $1500.
Saatchi Art Cons: No transparency about all sales activity, Lying & stealing, Exploitation of desperate artists.

I am an artist and sold a painting in August. It's the middle of October, and I just have received a payment. There were some issues with possible damage to the Artwork.
I wanted to warn all artists - make sure you package it according to the rules on a web site and take pictures with your packaging process.
Customer support was polite but hard to reach, and sometimes I waited for an answer from them for a week or longer, or didn't receive at all and had to write again. it was my first sale with them and I found it stressful and frustrating. I hope that my experience is not a common situation. Glad that my issue was resolved!
