The Smile Suite (Dr. Crystal Ellis, DD) Bad Dentist! If you come in pain she will call you a junkie!! Silver Spring Maryland

It was around the end of November, early December 2023 when I came down with a really painful tooth infection. The place I normally go to didn't have any available appointments so I had to search for another dental clinic to go. 

I was living in downtown Silver Spring and there was a place call "The Smile Suite", which I've been to back in 2012/13 for a tooth extraction. It was very cold outside that day, and since it was close to my apartment, I walked in & asked to be seen on an emergency basis.

A few years ago, I was friends with one of the security guards who used to work in the same building. Apparently he had some reservations about this dentist. He claimed that they were minor acquaintances at one point or another, and he loaned her money that she never paid back. The dude said she had issues & to never go there. (I can't confirm or deny what he said, but this person wasn't the type to lie for no reason) Unfortunately I was in serious pain & wanted help (bad choice on my end)

After collecting my insurance info, I was called back for an X-Ray. The tech who toke the x rays noticed how bad my situation was in my mouth. Now, Dr. Crystal Ellis come in. Not only did she *bearly* look at my mouth, I literally had to BEG her to check a cracked tooth where the infection came from. I asked her is she could give me antibiotics & something for pain (I didn't mention any narcotics). She rushed off.

Then the tech asked me to come up to the front desk to check out. I over heard her telling the receptionist "She's one of "THOSE PEOPLE ", another n****r looking for drugs". I was shocked, couldn't believe what I just heard! I confronted her & asked why she's so unprofessional! All she said was " sorry I didn't give you you're drugs!" She walked off!

Wow I simply couldn't believe what just transpired! This is a black owned business & she was black herself, so the racist slur was completely uncalled for. I demanded a copy of the X rays, which the lady at the desk agreed to. Then called me back 5 minutes later saying that I'd have to pay them $25. No way!

It's an absolute shame for someone who is supposed to help the community with their profession look down on & make fun of their customers. I've only been to this dentist once many years before. So her insult was uncalled for.

Please, if you care about your health stay far away from this disrespectful dentist!
