1 and Only Locksmith INC Bogus Area Locksmith, Onsite Ripoff by Overcharging  Internet

This is a Ripoff report against 1 and Only Locksmith INC, Toll Free (877) 651-5625, Automotive Commercial Residential.

I found the website http://www(dot)dentonlocksmith(dot)us/?gclid=CJTW4tvqjbwCFU9p7AodsgsAvw because I need to make a non-fob key for my car ignition and door. So, I call ed the area dispatcher by their "local" area code. The dispatcher assigned a mobile to my location, promising arrival within 20 minutes, seeing that it is fair to make it across town. Not 15 minutes after my call, a guy with a too obvious Brazilian accent called me and said he will be 50 minutes late, then called again to push another 15 minutes. 

By the time the guy showed up, I have been waiting for an hour and a half. That should red-flag me that the guys are not as local as they claimed to be. Then, things got real, really fast. The dude said that it will cost me close to $85 to unlock my car, $250 to read the ignition filing and $65 for a replacement key. That promised $19 service call fee? How could they justify the wait-around? $85 for using an airpump to wedge the door open? $250 to match and compare the serial from the steering column? $65 for a replacement car key? The only real labor that I saw the guy doing was hunkering in his car grinding that one key. Anyway, the entire transaction took less than half an hour and my final bill came out to be around $450 with tax. I should be very thankful that the damage to the car was minimal and only wasted my afternoon.

Better yet, I called the same number that was on the website to find out whether I have been ripoff by the guy, I was told by a different dispatcher, after talking over with his supervisor, that it was a fair deal. Therefore, this sealed the deal as to ruling out the act of a lone employee and could be construed as general practices of 1 and Only Locksmith INC--to masquerade as a local locksmith with fraudulent service pricing. I mean, there is only so much any business can justify inflating 200-400% off the base pricelist because they were too labor intensive for (30 minutes) and almost zero parts (one duplicated car key). Even the local car machanic did not charge as much for fixing a shorted circuit in my car after trying for two days.
