1 Shot Express Transport LLC Absolutely dishonest! Miramar, Florida

Please, if you accomplish nothing else today, seek business with another company. I had a terrible experience that was ended up being much more  expensive and stressful than necessary had I gone with a reputable broker.

I signed up with 1 Shot Express on 10/29/11 to have my truck transported from CA to WV. I was quoted a price of $1,145 for the service and paid my $200 deposit even though no service was provided yet. I was naive.
The pickup date was scheduled for 11/13, and I was GUARANTEED delivery 11/21 by both Rene and David. Looking back it was a crazy verbal promise, and I realize now it was again naive of me to believe them. I should have at least asked for it in writing.

From 11/10, I called daily to follow-up on my pickup and when a carrier would be contacting me. I was told repeatedly that the carrier was in my location and would be contacting me. However, when the date arrived, David kept telling me that driver's truck broke down. This occurred for the next 3 days. I was getting on a plane later that week, and it was
clear my truck was not being moved. I researched with other companies to get a sense of how the business works. I did not sign up for any service or contract with them, so I did not double book. If they posted me, it was inappropriate since I never agreed to any transaction with other companies.

What I found out is that my quote of $1,145 was extremely low since WV is a rarely traveled destination. Carriers do not want to transport it on such a small margin. Every other broker I spoke with told me my truck would never be picked up for that price. David repeatedly told me my quote was not an issue and it was just a matter of finding a carrier -
which he kept telling me would happen. Now it's obvious why it was so difficult. I ended up having to sell my truck, and needed to rent a vehicle while in WV until I was able to purchase a used one. Please, do not use this company!
