AAA SOD & SUPPLY refuses to pay me back an overage of payment in the amount of $1400.00 LAKE WORTH Florida

check #1090 as a down payment for a complete lawn in the amount of $1400.00 was written wrong. eric gordon the owner of aaa sod & supply asked for another check. on 12/16/13 i wrote out another check #1141 in the amount of $1400.00, and eric was supposed to give me back the first check that was written wrong for i had accidently ommited hundred when i wrote it out.  the last check on completion of the lawn was written out on 12/17/13 #1151 in the amount of $1400.00. i never received the first check back. by 1/15/14 the written out wrong check #1090 was cashed at a deli and the hundred was written in and initialed with my initials but i had not done that, either eric or the deli did. i went to the business and asked for the refund of 1400.00 overage,and was told by eric gordon that he would come by my house in 2 hours and pay me in cash. never happened. one again went there and eric stated that the owner would come by the house and pay me in cash. never happened. i went on this company's website and a video clip revealed that eric gordon was the owner. he laughs at me and has not returned my hard earned money and its feb of 2014.
