Misrepresentation and Unauthorized Charges made by Aabaco Small Business fka Yahoo Small Business
A few months before today Mar 23 2016, Aabaco small business took over yahoo Small Business. Unfortunately in line with all the news reports online and elsewhere Yahoo as a whole and yahoo Small Business in particular became more and more difficult to work with and it became more and more difficult to manage my 140+ domains, registered with Yahoo, now Aabaco.
Since Aabaco took over I fell from one surprise and smoke screen into the next.
When you log in it is impossible to sort your domains, its renewal date and status in any proper way, not alphabetically, nor by renewal date.
When you go to Billing they will show you a sum, say $500 charged for renewal of domains. When you open up the invoice, it shows the individual amounts the total, in this example $500 is made up of. It does not show what domains have been renewed and charged. As a matter of fact nowhere on their site can you determine which domain names were charged.
Upon further investigation I found out that the charges were for domains that had a renewable date in the future, in some cases approx. 2 weeks. So Aabaco's modus operandi is to charge your credit card for domains that will expire or renew in 2 weeks.
And as discussed above, once that happens there is no way to figure out what domains have been charged. The moment you call support you end up in India, where you are put on hold every 2-3 min for 2-3 min, in reality 5-10 minutes until they (so they say) figure out what the charges were for.
Either their system over there is as abismal as what we as customers use, or they are just delaying, and delaying until you give up. Finally after hours on the phone someone says the "refund"...technically a reversal of unauthorized illegal charges, will be processed. A couple of weeks later they still have not reversed the charges.
I would stay away from Aabaco, they are too expensive, have a useless Dashboard which makes it impossible to manage multiple domains and their billing/charging policy is (in my opinion) unethical....and then I am very kind.
I would like to say one positive thing about the people I speak to in India. Despite my ranting and raving the poor mguy/girl who took my call stayed professional! I ensured him/her it was nothing personal and it was not his/her fault, merely a very amateuristic set up of something that should be highly professional and ethical in this day and age where we are not even talking about Moon landings but Mars landings.
Very, very poor product. Go elsewhere!!
