I also felt ripped off by this company. I have taken lots of classes to renew my electrical license, and and this one is the hardest to complete I have ever experienced.

Lots of reading.  Most CE Classes are flash or video based and you listen to a presentation.  This company makes you read page after page after page.  I think there are like 30 modules.  One of the modules had like 21 pages of reading.  Then you have to take a test to advance to the next module.  They expect you to remember code numbers and things like that.  It is really frustrating.  I wasn't able to complete my course because it was so irritating.  I don't know if I was 25% or 10% finished, but I wanted out.  I asked for a refund, but was told I completed too much to get one.

Anyway, I went to another online class and was able to get my CE done.  Paid double that year, but learned a valuable lesson.

Refund process changed....

AUTHOR: Abba Training - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, April 03, 2010

We suspect this posting is from an employee of the individual who posted "William (Houston Texas)", report #587642. We have email proof.

I can't find your name associated with any Texas or Oregon course purchased through AbbaTraining.com. But we will attempt to provide you with feedback anyway.

Sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with our training course. We clearly post our refund policy throughout our web site. It states that: "Students requesting a refund or exchange for an online course must do so within (15) fifteen calendar days from the order date to receive a full refund. Students requesting a refund or exchange after (15) fifteen calendar days will not be refunded or exchanged. No refunds will be granted for online course that are 25 percent completed." Please let us know if this is false?

This refund policy is clearly stated three times: 1. just prior to check-out 2. email payment receipt 3. FAQ page. Please let us know if this is false?

Students have ample time to "try the course for free", as long as students does not complete 25% or more of the course.

In the last 12 months, of all the students who took our Texas 4hr Electrician CE course, +300 of them took our online customer satisfaction survey. Here are some of the results:

-80.1% of our students will return to our company next year for their CE needs
-90.4% of our students would recommend our company to others
-and we maintain an "Above Average" rating in regards to customer service, web site navigation, course navigation, etc.

We have room for improvement, but we see overall positive results from our surveys.

We run an ethical and honest small business...our company name sake remains us of such.

ACTION TAKEN: We have changed our student "refund request" process. At first contact, rather than immediately reminding the student of our refund policy, we will first try to find out why the student is not happy with the course. Then we will attempt to work out a compromise with the student before we enforce our refund policy.

We will do right by this person. If you contact us at message@abbatraining.com
we will refund your course ASAP.
