ABILITY RECOVERY SERVICES LLC They continue to knowingly report erroneous information on my credit reports. Moosic Pennsylvania

I have attempted on several occasions to correct erroneous information that Ability Recovery Services LLC (ARS) is reporting to the major national credit reporting agencies.  The debt of record occurred September 2011. ARS continues to report out the debt as 2013 in an effort to have more time in collections and to continue to hurt my credit report.  I have filed disputes with the three major credit reporting agencies.  All have been returned (rejected) after they contacted ARS which continues to confirm the wrong date.  

I contacted ARS on 9 Aug 2018 and discussed this matter.   I explained to them that the date of the debt is September 2011 and they are reporting out September 2013. They falsely stated over the phone to me that they are not able to contact Walden University where the debt occurred.  I was told: “We do not contact them. If something has changed they will contact us.“   I asked them if I should contact Walden University directly. Their reply was: “you can do that if you want but unless we hear from them nothing will change.“  

So… I contacted Walden University. Their financial office and collection office both stated that the debt has been sold to ARS and they are no longer involved in the matter.   I asked Walden University if they would contact ARS and I was told that they do not do that. They stated that once the debt is sold, they do not own it and they have nothing further to do with it.

This confirms that this matter lies completely in the hands of ARS who (once again) stated to me that unless they are contacted by Walden University (which they know is never going to happen ) they will not change anything.   They stated this to me knowing that they are the owner of the debt and that Walden University is never going to contact them.

This has placed me in a catch 22 situation which is entirely under the control of ARS which has absolutely no problem reporting out erroneous/false information to the three major credit reporting agencies.
