Afraz Auto Repo is a big time scammer. They advertise on Craigslist as a private party, even though they aren't. My friend responded to an ad in Craigslist about a used Toyota. He asked the person that answered the phone (most likely Nazia Shaheen) a couple times if he was a dealer. He insisted he was a private party.

Well, my friend drove out to Rancho Cucamonga to meet Shaheen in a strip mall. That idiot brought the wrong car to the strip mall. That was when my friend should have left. However, Shaheen told him to drive to his office.

The car my friend was interested in was suspicious. It was only a year or two old but the tires or something else was off, so he wanted to see another one. He ended up buying a Toyota. Shaheen suggested he pay part of the price in cash to save on taxes, which he did. I'm certain Afraz doesn't report that to the IRS.

After my friend got home, he sent me an email about the ordeal. I thought it stunk to high heaven, so I did 3 minutes of research and didn't like what I found. Here's how his scam works:

1. Shaheen runs CarFax reports on possible car purchases at upcoming Manheim Auctions. These cars tend to be Hondas or Toyotas.

2. He notes which CarFax reports come up with no frame damage and waits for them to up for auction.

3. At the day of the auction, Manheim Auctions (a good company) reports whether the cars have frame damage or other damage.

4. Shaheen bids on the cars that he has clean CarFax reports on but which are reported as frame damaged on the day of auction.

5. He advertises on Craigslist as a private party and uses several cell phone numbers.

6. He answers the phone as a private party.

7. When a sucker goes to his office, he shows him the car and the clean CarFax which was printed days before the car went up for auction to reassure the sucker.

Most buyers will go home thinking they got a good deal. However, frame damaged cars sell for thousands less than cars without frame damage. Also, the airbags of a car with frame damage may inflate slower than normal and cause injury to the passenger or driver. In addition, in the event of an accident the car may collapse in a way it wasn't designed to and cause serious injury to the driver and passengers. Of course, being the scumbag that Afraz Auto Repo / Shaheen Nazia are they don't care.

My Experience as a customer

AUTHOR: Jack Leema - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, October 22, 2016

I had an experience of purchasing a car from Afraz Auto Repo recently which was totally opposite. DJ was the sales person who sold 2014 Toyota Camry LE to me. This person was very helpful and before he sold the car he explained about the company how they repossess the cars. He did run the carfax at the time of purchase and it was clean with no accident and clean title. It was not a printed copy, he showed it on his I-phone.

This was not the 1st car I purchased but I have bought 2 previously for my children as well. I had a great experience dealing with this company and I look forward to see them in future also.
