It was my first time to Las Vegas. I rented a car from Alamo. The desk clerk offered me a chance to upgrade from a compact to mid-size sedan for only $50. I declined. I arrived on the lot & the Alamo associate told me they were out of compacts and so he would give me mid-size. He gave me the keys & pointed to a car 30 yards away. I went to the car, gave it a quick look-over and drove to my hotel.
I parked in the covered parking structure of the LVH...for 2 days w/o moving the car. There were no parking cement "curbs", just painted parking lines designating a parking place. Two days later I got back in the car & drove straight back to the Alamo rental return.
When I returned the car, the associate found 3 scratches on the front lower bumper (like the kind made from parking too close to a cement curb in a parking slot). I went to the customer service desk and filled out a "contested damage" report. The courteous lady said she would look to see if the damage had been noted at a previous check-in on the car.
Of course, they didn't have any record of previous damage. They are charging me $150 to repair the 3 scratches PLUS $50 administrative fee. I have no options, I will have to pay. But I am never renting from Alamo car rental and I am going to spread the word to all my friends and business associates.

I just have to ask...

According to your report you did the following.
You rented a car from Alamo(Las Vegas Airport?).
You drove directly to the Hotel and parked the car.
You did not move the car for 2 days.
You then drove it directly back to the Airport
Have you ever heard of a Taxi or Shuttle? You are talking a distance of not more than about 5 miles each way. Why in the world would you spend that much money to rent a car when all you did was go to your hotel and park it? Getting a Taxi or Shuttle would have been significantly less.
Now that not withstanding you probably will also have a post from someone who works for Alamo asking you to contact them. If that does happen I hope you post the resolution as well.

Stupid question

If you were just going to stay at the hotel any way, why did you rent the car in the first place? Probably would have been cheaper just to take a cab.
