Alan R. Eastman Dr. Alan R. Eastman Not a psychologist, not a doctor, not a professor, but he is a fraud Calgary, Alberta

I want to bring peoples attention to what appears to be an individual committing fraud or at least operating in contravention of the Alberta Health Professions Act.  The individuals name appears on a number of websites as Alan R. Eastman and he appears to live in Calgary.  Below is a list of websites that appear to be operated by Mr. Eastman:

I will outline the reasons I believe this individual is committing fraud below:
 
1). On his various websites, Mr. Eastman uses the titles Dr., Doctor, and Psychologist, which I believe are protected titles under the Alberta Health Professions Act (RSA 2000 cH-7 Sched. 22 s5;2003 c39 s11;2005 c13 s4(15)).  Mr. Eastman makes various claims to holding a doctoral degree  in Clinical Hypnotherapy (DCH), which is not a recognized degree in Canada or the United States.  Also, on some of the websites, the designation PhD appear after his name, while on others it does not, which is very suspicious.   
 
2). On at least one website (http://www.alaneastman.com/dreast.html) , Mr. Eastman claims that he is a full professor and Head of the Clinical Hypnotherapy Program at Breyer State University (BSU).  Upon researching Breyer State University, it became evident that this institution is an unaccredited and discredited- school that has moved offices from state to state in the US and is a disreputable degree mill (for more information see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breyer_State_University).  Interestingly, Mr. Eastmans name could not be found in the faculty directory on Breyer State University website.
 
3). Mr. Eastman claims to be a licensed Psychological Assistant and implies that the license is with the College of Alberta Psychologists (the following text appears in a number of his websites: College of Alberta Psychologists license #0343).  This gives one the impression that he is registered with the College which is false.  As far as I knohe College of Alberta Psychologists does not license or regulate Psychological Assistants.  Also, on his Linkedin webpage, Mr. Eastman states that he is a Psychologist (see http://ca.linkedin.com/pub/alan-eastman/3/341/9a8).  
 
4). Mr. Eastman claims to be a member of a mental health crisis response team for the Alberta Mental Health Board.  As far as I could tell, the Alberta Mental Health Board no longer exists.
 
5). The street address that appears in the website http://www.excelcenter.com/alan.asp (#203, 4909 B - 48th Street, Red Deer, AB) is in fact the address of a different psychological services provider (Insight Psychological Services, Inc.), which appears to be a bona fide clinic. A different street address for The Excel Centre for Mental Health Care appears in the DAAPS website http://daaps.webs.com.
