This company is a total ripoff, I found the ad on indeed.com for security/front desk service of which I applied to.The very next day I got a called from a Mr.Lewis to come for an interview and walk with all my documents including picture ID and social security card plus $80. On the day of the so called interview I was introduced to Max aka money max and was told that I need a fire guard license which will cost me $199...the actual price for this license is $25.
Max the sweet talker was trying to force me to pay everything in full saying that its better for an early placement for the job that I will be getting $14-$18.50 hourly rate plus OT. Even though I had my suspicions I still paid the $80 and received some scrappy paper work and two unstamped receipt and when I asked him how come it wasnt stamped he said when I pay the balance off. it's all a scam and they promise jobs that don't exist.

Understandable that a company will not pay for licensing. However why not explain the FULL fees upfront? Why wait until a potential employee is excited about an opportunity to have their hopes dashed when additional fees are added all of a sudden? This makes it seem as if the company is hiding something and is a scam.

WE ARE NOT A SCAM OR HAVE EVER BEEN.

My name is Mr. Lewis I have been working for ASP for a while, we recently moved our office for larger space. We are a preparation and job placement assistance Company. I just want to clear up all false information and slander about our company. For one, we have never been or was ever associated with a company called Allianz Security. To my understanding there was once a company called Allianz Security who was once in this building and people are thinking we are them... WE ARE NOT.
A little about myself... I worked as a Guard for over 6 years. I paid over $400 for all my training at another company called Trail blazers in Queens NY. I got a Job upon completion of training. Many people don’t seem to understand that you are NOT paying for a job you are paying for the state certifications required to get the job or to take advantage of the opportunity. This is a great field to get into with lots of growth potential. The Labor Department is even stating that the industry is going to grow by 20% by 2016.
NO COMPANY IN NEW YORK IS GOING TO PAY TO GET YOU CERTIFIED THAT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILTY. For example, if a Taxi cab driver wants to drive a taxi, he has to go and get his license that’s not free. If a nurse wants to work she has to get training, that’s not free.
All training Facilities or Job Placement Agencies reserve the right to charge whatever they want for training. The prices are not regulated by the state. Prices can vary from company to company based on a number of factors like: paying rent, resources to get available job opening information, paying staff and instructors of a company, etc.
We Charge for each certification $199; 8 hour & 16 hour, C.P.R., and Fire Guard preparation certification. This training pre-qualifies you to start working as a Fire Guard. Once you start working, you will receive an employment letter which you can take down to the FDNY 9 Metrotech, and then pay $25 to take the official Fire Guard exam to obtain the official Fire Guard license. Again, you CANNOT take the $25 Fire Guard exam without first getting certified and obtaining employment as a Fire Guard.
We offer GURANTEED JOB PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE AFTER OBTAINING CERTIFICATION THROUGH OUR COMPANY. EVERY MONDAY THRU THURSDAY FROM 9AM TO 1PM ANY INDIVIDUAL CAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE SERVICES UNTIL HE OR SHE OBTAINS THE EMPLOYMENT THEY DESIRE. We have placed over 10,000 people in the past 2 years.
People who are reading this, please understand we are not here to steal or to lie to you. We are here to help and our services are always available to people seeking help with employment in this industry. You can either listen to an anonymous disgruntle client who by the way probably never finished training and never took advantage of our services to see where it would get them. Or you can see for yourself, because at the end of it all that’s the only way to really find out.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU READ ONLINE. THESE CAN BE FALSE COMPLAINTS COMING FROM DISGRUNTAL EX-EMPLOYEES, PEOPLE WHO ONLY LEFT A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $80 AND ARE ANGRY BECAUSE WE DIDN'T RETURN THE MONEY, OR WORSE A COMPETITOR. Don't judge us from what you see online, because trust me when I tell you IT’S NOT TRUE.
