I saw an ad on craigslist for a free roof inspection and a link to their website. i wanted to have them do a roof inspection on a piece of property I am buying. I looked on the website and no where did it say I have to be the owner of the property to receie the free inspection.
So, I filled out the form. And I called to follow up on the inspection to find out when they were going to do it. That is when they started to try to get me to pay for a service that they were offering for free. After I told them I would report them to the better business burea, they threatened to report me. I asked them for what.
When I hung up on them, they called back. I hung up again on them. Then tried emailing me repeating the same stuff on the phone, threatening a legal suit if I posted my experiences with them. Saying they considered this a threat.

The maker of this report had seen our advertisement for a free roof inspection on craigslist for columbus,Ohio. He contacted us to request an inspection for a property in Ohio, but was living in Alabama. We asked him,if he was the owner of the property or if there were someone for us to contact to allow us access to the house. He stated he was not the owner and was thinking about putting an offer in on the home and wanted the inspection on the premise that he might be purchasing. As a Reputable Company since our formation in 2006, we do not enter on to private property without a written or verbal consent of the property owner as per common law. In explaining this to the reportmaker, he cursed our female office staff before hanging up on them. We tried to contact him again to explain our policy and was rebuffed with cursing and angry words. Then this report surfaced, saying that we refused to do what we advertise. Our advertisment was for Homeowners or someone in a contract to purchase a property. This is false, and never happened as stated in this report. As a business in business to make money we do free roof inspections for property owners expecting, to find some of them needing work that is normaly why the Owners call in the first place.
