To whom it may concern We are in the midst of an horrific situation and in urgent need of your assistance. In February, March 2017 we rented condo #1003 in the Avalon Condominiums in Puerto Vallarta through Vistalegre rentals. The unit was advertised as having a dishwasher which in fact it did not have. We requested same but never received it. Half way through our rental we were approached by Vistalegre (Alex Diaz) and asked if we wished to rent the unit for 2018? We replied ‘yes’ and wrote a cheque for $4,782.00USD (1/2 the rental and security deposit.) WE then signed the contract between Vistalegre, Mr. Jose Cesar Martinez Burciaga( the owner and developer) and ourselves to SECURE our contract!! Yesterday we were contacted by Alex at Vistalegre and informed that another agent (Alma Piedra) of Dream Rentals had approached our owner and convinced him to accept a one year lease. She is fully aware that the unit was under contractt for February and March. The owner is also the developer and owns a few units in the complex. This is dishonest, illegal and highly immoral to say the very least!!! WE, in the meantime, have purchased expensive, non refundable first class air fare for a total of $3,253.00 CDN. This capricious, illegal activity of Ms. Piedra and Mr. Burciaga is tantamount to theft…rental tourism theft!!! Ms. Piedra’s and Mr. Burciaga’s greed and avarice would have us assume damages of $4,782.00 USD and $3,253.00 CDN. DOES THIS SEEM FAIR TO YOU?….OF COURSE NOT!!! This is 100% unacceptable from all standpoints!! There seems to be some discussion as to where our monies have gone. Apparently the money was not held in a trust fund but in Mexican manner dispersed immediately. Mr. Burciaga has 80% of it and apparently the other 20% went to commissions. This clearly is theft and we would like to see it presented to the police for what it is….Tourism rental theft!!!Surely this a serious offence!! The consequences for Ms. Alma Piedra should be both swift and severe!! She is a very poor ambassador for rental tourism and should be fired before she inflicts any more pain and suffering on unsuspecting tourists such as ourselves. She has proven herself to be dishonest, untrustworthy and dishonourable in the public sector. If jail time is an option, I would love to see her there where she can twist in the wind and reflect on her miserable actions!! As for Mr. Burciaga we believe that he is a very wealthy developer and probably above the law , but he should be fined at the very least. His parents were our neighbours last year and are very sweet decent people. I can only hope that he has inherited a shred of decency and does the right thing. WE WANT THE UNIT WE PAID AND CONTRACTED FOR!! MR Burciaga acknowledged this contract last March when he allowed us to leave carton of personal items in the master bedroom closet! Mr. Burciaga and Ms.Piedra need to have our unit ready for us at what ever cost to themselves. To add insult to injury when we vacated last March MR. Burciaga only returned half our security deposit. He owes us $265.46USD. The unit was left better than we found it, we never used the air conditioning or the dipping pool because it was frigid and of course there was no dishwasher. This is pretty cheap way to scam money from tourists! This is very stressful and time consuming to my husband and myself. WE should not have to be dealing with this. It certainly puts doubt in one’s mind about visiting Mexico. We were looking forward to a vacation, not a battle!!! The Canadian s****.>

I am not sure why you are leaving such spiteful remarks about our company, We have no idea as to who you are and it seems your distress is making you lash out towards us unfairly. I suggest you reach out to whom ever YOU rented the unit you claim to have secured and channel your resentment accordingly. If you invested half the energy and ill will you have againts us to resolve the situation and deal with the people who you claim to have done business with you may accomplish something. I would like to emphasize that we at no point in time have been in touch with you or husband. We would appreciate it if you leave us out of your tantrum and we wish you the best.
