Alpha Gas & Electric Huge Increases in Rates after First Year of Service Pomona New York

A G & E is an alternate energy supplier to PSEG in New Jersey.  We signed up in late 2012 and were promised at least a 10% discount from PSEG. 

For the first 12 months we did indeed receive the promised reductions in both gas and electric rates.  In addition, they offer a complete refund of your highest monthly bill during the 12-month period.  This they did by check.  BUT ...

As soon as we started our second year with them their rates for both gas and electric more than doubled !  I called every month and got little in the way of a plausible explanation and even less of any assurance that their rates would revert back to where they were.

If I project our bills at their current rates and those of PSEG and their current rates over the next 12 months, I would pay at least twice to A G & E.  Even after their "highest month refund", we would pay at least 60% more !

Naturally, I have now cancelled A G & E and gone back to PSEG.  I think other consumers need to be warned against this company.
