My neighbor did not want me parking in the lot in the back of the apartment complex which I am allowed to its on my lease and on private property and she called them and they took my car for no reason just because she felt like it. I explained the situation showed them proof I was allowed to park there and they said to bad I still have to pay the $303.00 to get it back. So they bascally stole my car and got away with it and would not give me the complaint person information so I can legally sue her to get my money back. I asked the guy at the towing company so if I dont like someone I can have there car picked up everyday and they said if I called 100 times they would pck it up 100 times private property or not they dont care!!
I called the police and the Officer said they have had a lot of complaints from them but they cannot do anything about it, I think they should be held responsible. No one can do anything about them just going around taking cars if they feel like it!

Look up Definition of Stolen

I am not confused as to the difference between impounded or stolen but understand that if the county of Milwaukee in Municipal court Parking Enforcement states the ticket was issued in error and was dismissed and filed as there error, then Impounding the vehicle was also in error and I should not be held liable for such errors issued on people who do not know how to do their job properly.
Before impounding / towing a vehicle from a residence that lives and has all right to be in the private lot of the building, Building management should have been contacted since it is on Private Property and legally parked. I understand your side but you are not looking at it from my point of view and as good business you should have waived the fee since I had nothing to do with this crazy women and charged the women whose name and address you gave me as the complaint on the phone when I called initially.

Your vehicle was impounded, not stolen.....big difference!

As explained to this young lady who now is claiming a different series of events, this vehicle was impounded for being parked illegally on private property based upon a citizen complaint. This citizen filed a written complaint, with a parking enforcement officer and had the vehicle ticketed as illegally parked on private property. Then independently contacted a towing company to have the vehicle removed. In order to have a vehicle ticketed you have to provide proof of being an agent of the property.
Once ticketed it can be legally removed, and was the case with this young lady. We do NOT know who's vehicle it is or where that person lives, only that an agent for the property has fulfilled the proper procedure to have the vehicle removed and chose to exercise their right to do so.
As explained a number of times, it is a matter of public record who filed the written complaint. This isn't information we have access to unless we were to file an open records request the same way the owner of the vehicle can do. As to charges for impound, the vehicle owner is liable for the impound fee's as this is the charge for the removal of the vehicle, not a fine that was issued. If there is a small claims case to be filed it can be done so against person who initiated the situation.
It's amazing how a person can still claim to be confused after this has been explained to them multiple times, or maybe it's not a case of confusion but simply an attempt to make false statements against a legitimate entity who prides themself on their reputation as being a industry leader and advocate for property owner's and their rights!

Try small claim court

You may file a small claim court on this matter. You would need the proof that you are permitted to park where it is. You would need to prove that they picked your car up from wherever you are permitted to park. You would need the receipt you paid for to get your car out. You could get the money back that way (but I doubt you would get more than that). You don't really need a police report on this matter as long as you can prove that they did tow your car from wherever you mentioned. However, I don't know whether there are other stories behind this matter...
