I was looking for a security job and applied to Always Vigilant Security. I saw their postings on craiglist that reads, "looking for security workers, hiring now." I called 3477480027 and spoke to Mr. Santos. He said they are providing security jobs as front desk positions for corporate buildings.
It was a Monday when I asked how soon are you hiring and he said it will take at least 3 days of training and they we will be able to get you working as far as friday. I made sure asked to confirm that after my trainings they are going to hire me and he guaranteed me that I will have a job by Friday depending on how serious I was. He then said it will be about $90 to start, which was the same thing that the website said.
I came for the interview the following morning thinking that they THEY were the ones who was hiring me after THEY give me the classes. Spoke with Mr. Santos and he said for my security job I will need a 8 hour, 16 hour, fire gaurd, and a metal detection certificate to be hired. He then said the total would then be $783 dollars in all. I was shocked because on the phone he said $90. Anyway after asking him about guarantying me that I was getting the job, I paid the $783 from my visa card desperate just to find a job.
3 months passed and all I got from them was 4 certificates, 2 of which I never even needed to get security jobs. (fire gaurd and metal detection) They sent me to security outlets that either wasnt hiring or who had no idea who Always Vigilant was. Also certificates CANT get you security jobs, but having a security license can. A license takes up to 4 weeks to come in the mail before you can actually have a security job. So it was NO way that I could have been hired a day after the classes.
Always Vigilant has NO security job links, they just know places that provides security jobs that I could have found on my own. They also over charged me for my certificates. I could have paid $100 to get my 8 hour and 16 hour in the Bronx. But I spent $783 for no reason dealing with Always Vigilant. They are quick to take your money, but when you have complaints, they are quick to pass you to somebody else or quick to tell you come back tomorrow.
Bottom line is, they cant hire you, they lied about guaranteed jobs as soon as you get your 3 day training, they over charge for the classes, The certificates I have dont even have Always Vigilant's mailing addresses on them which make them look like fake certificates. AND I still dont have a security job. Dont give your money to Always Vigilant.

The consumers are right about Always Vigilant and you know it.
It's funny you listed that 3477480027 for Mr. Santos when you gave it to me last week and said it was your personal cell #. You have a job working for them. They probably tried to scam you and you said "let me be down with it too."
What you're doing the public is misleading and a scam. More importantly is how you can go on day after day knowing how much $ you take from people and live with yourselves?

First of all... You have some info wrong. The name of the company is Just Always Vigilant. There is no urban Dynamics there or w/e you posted. Second of all they have a licence from the department of state located here: http://criminaljustice.state.ny.us/ops/docs/sgtraining/pubs/sgpapprovedschls.pdf
Just type Always Vigilant into the "find" box. It even has their address.
OR you can call 1-877-472-6915 and Give them the school code wich is on Mine and YOUR certificates. The number is 311863. Just follow the automated messages till you speak with a person and ask him if that number is valid and THE GOVERNMENT WILL TELL YOU IT IS.
Second of all I went through training there and I DID get a job (Wich I explain below). I am verry happy. If anybody else wants to confirm anything I said just call 212-810-4111. That is Always vigilants number. They will tell you they do training, they will tell you they do job placement, they will tell you the DO NOT GUARENTEE THE JOB but they DO Guarentee the placement. They tell you ALL THIS BEFORE you sign or pay a d**n thing. They didnt lie about ANYTHING you probibly didnt understand. I can hardly spell and I knew what they told me and I made SURE I knew beforehand.
WHAT HAPPENED FOR ME
So I too was looking for a job and when I called up I spoke with Mr. Evans. I did the same thing as you did. I came in for an interview brought with me my money.
I was told that Always Vigilant was a Training Facility that does placement for their graduates. I went through The 8 16 and Fire Guard (didnt do metal detection). Payed $438. I went through all the classes & Applied for the license (It took about 3 weeks for the License # to come in) and went through their placement. I was placed by a verry nice lady Ms. Nelson. I went to two seperate companies, BOTH of wich were highering. I filled out all the information they needed and I did EXACTALLY what she told me to do. It took another 3 days before I got any responce. BOTH places called me back. One of the places offered me $13.00 per hour and the other $13.60. I started working within the next week.
I now work with Securitas Security company. I have full benifits and get over time. In 6 months they said i'm moving up to $14.50 if I do realy well at my job.
Securitas DID need the fire guard training (which is not security training from the state but is required by security companies) I had to go down to the fire department and take a test.
I have been out of work for MONTHS and I coudlnt get a job untill I went through this training. Not only that the whole thing took only 3 weeks (the classes were only 4 days but the license took a bit of time). I would do it AGAIN if I lost my current job. (which I dont have to I only have to do the 8hour over again every year cause it expires the other stuff NEVER EXPIRES) But I wont even have to pay again becuase If I Lose my job they will get me another one FOR FREE.
SO BO h*o FOR YOU BUDDY but I got my job I did what I was suposed to do and the only way that you think you got scammed was because you didn't understand the words comming out of who ever you spoke to's mouth. NOT TO MENTION EVERYTHING YOU SAID is written on the contract.
READ BEFORE YOU SIGN. ASK QUESTIONS. UNDERSTAND. Then maby you will know what you are paying for buddy.
