American Express Van Lines MAJOR SCAM ARTISTS, LIARS, ZERO BUSINESS VALUES,,WARNING TO ALL MOVING CONSUMERS!!!! Atlanta, Georgia

This past Septemeber my husband and I hired AMerican Express Van Lines in Atlanta Georgia to move us down to West Palm Florida.  THe owner, Shlomo, came to our apt and took a look at everything to give us a final weight estimate and a written contract.  It was 1500 for everything.  We then asked if this was the final number, and that it would NOT CHANGE.  He said yes. We are good to go.

So delivery day came in Florida, and we got a call from the truck driver and he said they got fined on the way down here for weight limit and that we owed them an additional 600 dollars if we even wanted to get our stuff back. We were like, "NO, we have a WRITTEN contract" as to what we owed and that this number would not change. We then went through a two hour period where they were trying to get a hold of "the boss" and we waited to talk to him about the situation. Finally 2 hours later, he called, and said look, just give me 175 and we will call it even.  We were so pissed we just did it to get our stuff back

Claims.  SUCK A FREAKING JOKE. A broken tv, BANGED UP BEDROOM SUITE, a box FULL of expesive computer games just GONE.. ALong with a Wedding gift of a LARGE wall Print. I did EVERTHING SHLOMO told me to do. Took pics of everything, emailed them to him...twice, as well as a list of stuff that was missing.  He said that they have 90 days to file claims to get a check.  Ok fine.  85 days go by..no return emails or calls, I call up to Georgia and talk to this RUDE claims clerk named Kareen. SHE HAD NEVER HEARD OF ME OR MY HUSBANDS SITUATION.  I was Pissed!!!! I went off, and then she proceeded to tell me that "she had had about enough out of me today" and that I have a severe attitude." Yes I do, when I have goton screwed you better believe I have an attitude. So THEN, they tell me it is MY responsibility to call up 9 company's to come out to my house and get estimates on the damage.  Ok, that service is not FREE...why should I fork out MORE MONEY for something that YOU guys created.

I am back to square one. I have filed complaints with the BBB, The department of Transportation, moving scam.com.my 3cents.com.. you name it.  Please..Please..if you are in Georgia and planning on moving.. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE...THEY ARE A TOTAL JOKE!!!!
