I was desperatly seeking work, at my age it is getting harder and harder to find.
I ran across this American Mail Publishing company, who offered a money back guarentee.
Usually, this is a safe bet or they would not give the guarentee, so I thought.
I used my green dot card and on Sept. 12, 2013 they took, $34.95 from my card. I waited the required 7-10 business days, but nothing ever came. I then went to their website and sent several emails, that went unanswered. Finally after much searching I found an actual phone number I could call, again no response.
Just so happens, I worked at a law firm for 7 years, the attorney is a very good friend of mine, so, I asked her if she would be willing to make a call to the number and request I get my money back. She made the call for me, and before the end of the business day, I get a phone call back. A man who didnt bother to give me his name asked me are you an attorney, I said no, I am the individual requesting my money back. He proceeds to tell me that he does not just give money to anybody that calls, and that I would have to show proof of who I am, I would have to send him a copy of my statement, and, the letter head from the Attorney before giving my money back, I responded with I have the transaction number, thats all you will get from me as Im not dumb enough to give you any of the other information, and, the attorney is a friend, she is not actually working for me, as it would be pretty silly to hire an attorney for 34.95, but since I had made several calls and sent several emails, I asked her to make a call to see if she got any better results. He just kept repeating the same thing over and over, gave me a post office box to send the proof too, and then would refund my money. I sent this long ago, several times, still no money back.
