#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Don't let them play you

AUTHOR: Ex-employee - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 20, 2011

The actual company is called AMG Services and there are 8 payday loan companies that are under that umbrella (Ameriloan, US Fast Cash, 500 Fast Cash, One Click Cash, Ace Cash Services, United Cash loans, Star Cash Sevices & Advantage Cash Services). They company has a Miami, Ok address but their call center is Overland Park, Ks. When you call to speak with someone they address the call based on the accont that comes up on the screen.

FYI- if you can get over the annoying calls, that's all the company will do! They will never send it to a 3rd party collector, to an attorney, or report it to the credit bureaus, despite their repeated statements that it may go out for "further action". That's just a "scare tactic" that works on some customers. They have some accounts from the early 2000's, so most of those customers should know by now, nothing is going to happen. So if you don't see them listed on your credit report this is why, they won't ever report it.

The companies don't verify the information that you provide on your application (employment or income), so don't put correct information on it. They only call the telephone numbers you provide when you don't pay.

Also, the company can't collect debts in the states of Kansas, West Virginia, or Georgia, so just say that you moved to one of those states and they'll wipe your account clean. Also, if they call your job all you have to say is that you don't want any calls at your place of employment because you will get fired and they have to remove the number (record the date and time). Don't just hang up or they will keep on calling. If they call back after you have told them not to call, then you can ask that the call be pulled (because every call is recorded), if they have called back after that they have broken the law. Most likely, you willl also get the collection agent fired (agents tend to leave the number in when the customer has pissed them off).

The agents do get commission off the accounts that they get payments on, so don't let an agent tell you they don't. They pressure you to put money down today, because most people that put money down end up paying the account off because they have invested some money. They also say that you can get an extended payment plan with a down payment, most times the length of the plan will be the same regardless.

If you really do plan on paying the bill after all the charges they've added but don't want to be on a "payment plan", then just call in and make a live plan for whatever amount you want (at least $20) and they'll take it. But you don't have to set up a plan, regardless of what they say (usually it's, "your account isn't secure, so it could go out at anytime" - yeah right!).

The computers are also set to pull your account up from whatever telephone number(s) you have provided. So don't think you can call just to see what company it is...they know you're calling and notate the account when you call and hang up. If you want to see what company keeps calling, then call from a number that you haven't provided them. If you do speak with them, chance are they will notate the new number you called in on too.

This company makes a lot of money off the fees. The loan is automatically set to renew after 2 weeks. If you plan on paying it in full on your next payday, then you have to contact them 3 days prior to due date to hav ethem take out the full amount, or you start racking up the fees. DO NOT do a payment plan when you first take out the loan, because you will be paying forever and will be out of a lot of money.

And they're not a very good employer either!
