Ameritrust Financial Of Florida Fradulent Credit Offer and Checking Account Debit Dunedin Florida

On or around October 17, 2007, I received a phone call from the an Ameritrust Financial Services of Florida offering me a line of credit of 2,000.00. They told me that I had to deposit 200.00, which would be fully refunded or given back to me as a payment against the 2,000 loan amount. In other words, it wasn't a fee but a partial repayment of the loan. In effect, they were loaning me 1,800 but requiring 200.00 from me to make sure I was legitimate. They had told me that I would receive a credit card and papers that I had to sign. I agreed to this by phone only. I signed no documents.

On October 29, Ameritrust Financial debited 200.00 from my account. By mid-November, having never received any credit card or papers to sign, I began calling the company on the number that they had given me during their call to me. I was put into a voice mail account each time. No one called me back. I have yet to be able to get ahold of anyone.

I have issued a stop payment with my bank against any future debits from this company. But I am out at least 200.00 and maybe more, depending on how they see it. Since this incident, I receive hundreds of emails offering similar services. I cannot tell who is the sender or whether they represent Ameriloan, or someone else to whom they've sold my email address. The other companies seem to suggest that I have a loan waiting for me and that I just need to claim it.
