I was contacted by a Kim Underwood in regaurds to a credit card with a line of $2000 to help rebuild my credit. I was told that there would be a upfront fee of $200 that would be sent back to me in the form of 4- $50 vouchers that I could use as payments towards my purchases. So that in actuallity there were no real fees because you would get that money back. She spoke really fast and several times I had to cut her off to ask questions. Repeatedly she said this card was like a credit card could use it for anything like you would use a credit card for. I mentioned I was getting ready to go to school and this would help pay for tuition, she agreed. Also, was mentioned that if 3 months of no charge then there would be a $35 charge. She suggested that I should just charge a pack of gum or something, further validating can be used for anything.
So I gave her the necessary information for the processing and in closing there was some mention of a catalog. That made me stop for a second and again I confirmed that I could use this card anywhere, for bills or groceries, she said absolutely. And after a periord of time could be used as a cash advance.
After I hung up the catalog was still on my mind, it was after the hours of customer service so I called back the number she called me from and spoke to another female and questioned the catalog. She said the catalog is request only and she also confirmed it is like a credit card for any use.
I occassionally visit this site and figured for kicks I'd see if they were on here and I was sick to my stomach. So I called the customer service line and they are closed today, I called the number that she had called me from. And this time a "Kimberly" answered, not acknowledging whether or not she was Ms. Underwood.
I told her that I saw numerous reports on this site and a negative reporting on the BBB page. She started to go on with a speal and I stopped her. I told her that the person that contacted me and the person I spoke to when I called back misrepresented what I was agreeing to. I asked her to specifically tell me what I could use this card for. She said their catalog, their mall and cash advances. I said I was told just like a credit card and if I'm limited to use it on things they deem acceptable that was not what was told to me nor did I agree to those terms.
I furthered told her that it was poor practice if this was the common practice to mislead people this way. She said it wasn't, but wasn't really convincing. I told her I want a refund. She directed me to call the customer service line and make a request. I asked how long it will take and will it be put back into my account or will I receive a check. She had no idea.
I will be contacting my bank and explain the fraudulent charges and be requesting a Federal Regulation E dispute form.
The number I was contacted from by Ms. Kim Underwood is 408-731-7348. The name that appeared on the caller ID is Five 9. I'm not sure at how successful I will be at a refund through the comany, but if my bank has to get involved I'm sure that they will pursue it for lost of funds.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!
