Andrew Webber was hired by our company to build a website for a project that we were working on. The website consisted of treasured family photos along with important information about an upcoming television project we were working on.
Andrew Webber and his company Flash Cafe, flashcafe.netfirms.com/ started working with us online and via Yahoo.IM (andrewlikescoffee__yahoo.com). For an entire day on Saturday Andrew Webber continued to communicate with us, showing us PICTURES of web pages he had supposively created.
Late Saturday/Early Sunday, Andrew Webber:http://www.flashcafe.netfirms.com/ (andrewlikescoffee@sympatico.ca) of Flash Cafe told us that he was an hour away from completion and that he wanted us to wire the payment for the site to Rose Jaret, his wife.
Andrew Webber (andrewlikescoffee__yahoo.com)http://www.flashcafe.netfirms.com/ made it seem as if he was rushing to complete the website, and how his wife was traveling to pick up funds from other companies and how diligent he was working to ensure us that he would provide us with a completed website.
Upon receipt of the money via Western Union..Andrew Webber( http://www.flashcafe.netfirms.com/) suddenly became TIRED. Said he would finish everything the next morning. Sure enough, the next morning came..and just like magic, his computer was corrupted. All of a sudden, at just the right day and time, his computer had a magic virus that would instantly shut down the very programs he needed to complete our website.
So now we are told we have to wait until he take his computer into the shop. One day goes by, two days go by. We call and email. Now he says he will have his computer back in the afternoon. Nothing.
We call and email again. Now Andrew Webber (andrewlikescoffee_yahoo.com) claims he's now out of town and will return in a few days...that we are first on his list.. So we wait...Friday comes and we don't hear anything...so we ask for our files back.
Webber responds by saying he is going to complete our site..informing us that he never said he wasn't going to complete it..OKAY...You just took our money..and disappeared and now you want us to believe you are going to complete our site.
If you ever meet up with http://www.flashcafe.netfirms.com/
Andrew Webber, Andrewlikescoffee, andrewlikescoffe_yahoo.com, andrewlikescoffee_sympatico.ca, I would advise you to not trust him with any project that's important to you.
He will string you along, make you think you are getting work done, steal your money and leave you with nothing.
We were silly for trusting him. For believing that he was there to help us make our site a reality.
Western Union money to a thief and get left with nothing but a bill and nothing to show for it.

Andrew's sob story..what a joke

Andrew Webber and his crew of various girlfriends are always trying to play victim in regards to these reports.
The fact of the matter is this: I am another person who unfortunately trusted Andrew a few years back to design a site. Same situation...sent him some money, and as soon as I did the excuses started. Family issues, out of town all of a sudden, anything to stall the process until you finally give up.
He also gave me websites to look at he claimed he had built. Contacting the owners of these sites confirmed that he did NOT build them, and that he was telling ALOT of people he had.
Several years later, just this year, I found him again, he had answered another ad I had placed for a web designer. Amazed that he was still out there trolling for suckers I acted like I wanted his services and he gave me his number.
I called him up and confronted him with what he had done...essentially stolen my money and vanished in a sea of excuses and reasons why the work needed to be delayed. He told me he would refund my money (HA!) and told me he was "changing his ways!"
The kicker is that I immediately went onto the net and did some searching after I got off the phone with him. And I found several reports on him within the past WEEK where he was up to his old tricks, this time using PayPal for an advance and again blowing people off.
Changing his ways my a**!
I have since filed reports on him here on the net for others to read and also filed complaints with the FBI and the Federal Trade Commission. I urge everyone else to do the same. This guy is a pathological lair, fraud and general over all screw up, so lots in the tangle of his own deceit he doesn't know which end is up.
His PHONEY website is wutt.ca. Don't think you will get anything from him that remotely looks like this. You'll get nothing, just a bit poorer.
Keep him on the run, people. He's a criminal.

Clearing the air
AUTHOR: Andrew Webber - (Canada)

In 2007 I did work for a design company, and basically ruined my reputation because of this.
The company secured clients based on the work of others (sometimes even going so far as to feature it on their site) and then would have the designer take over client interaction from that point. Things started to go downhill quickly and my fees were not being paid as the company had specified. I was then told to secure payment directly from the client, which I did.
Long story short here, the company was scum. The owner, my boss, would take off for days going to acting casting calls and the like, as he was some BS reality show contestant before and thought that could be spun into more I guess.
Anyways, I bore the brunt for all this crap. I still do. I have spent over a year trying to rebuild my reputation yet this still haunts me. I would like to say once and for all that the errors of the past in NO WAY dictate my practices whatsoever. It is very hard to go it alone freelancing now, especially having to explain this time and time again, but I am managing.
I certainly hope this will be resolved soon.
Regards,
Andrew Webber
