I had Apex Security and in the small print they are allowed to transfer service to anyone they want to. I called because my son hit the panic code and police took almost three hours to come. He thankfully is okay, but I just found out that Apex sold me to Security Networks on 7/14/o8.
I had tried to call for almost two weeks to see why the police didn't come when Cobb County Police had told me they had just gotten the call from Apex five minutes prior to coming. It is in their system as well. I could not stay on hold for 20 minutes at a time as I was trying to rectify this during office hours.
I finally got a day off and called to be disconnected and transferred to several different people, and placed on hold for 10 to 15 minutes at a time. I finally got a manager. Some 20 something or so girl by the name of Brittany at 1-877-252-7622 ext: 365. Rude as all get out, interrupted me several times, spoke to me like I was five years old, and yelled at me.
She would not give me her last name as everyone else I spoke to did. She could not give me the date of transfer of service but did say it was transferred in 2006 when I first signed the three year contract. I called Apex and got the exact date of transfer which was 7/14/08.
Brittany lied didnt' she? Brittany stated over an over things I never even told her, and all she could do in defense was to bash Apex for about five minutes or so. I said, "This is not helping me you bashing them over and over, I need to be taken out of the contract as a very dissatisfied customer. I have never had this problem before." She stated, "I'm not bashing them, I'm just saying it like it is.
Apex is terrible, and now we have to deal with their problems." Hmmm, gee I thought I said I never had these problems before. She also said no matter how unhappy I was I had to pay the remainder of the contract but didn't give a price. This is going to my attorney. I also hope you all know about the repercussions of signing on with small town little companies that transfer service without verbalizing it.
It's sneaky, and you will never get anyone to listen. I cancelled my credit card, and it is under investigation with the credit card consumer affairs department. I will go to court over this. I also will pursue this as far as the BBB, as well as my attorney's involvement.
