I saw a job on Monster.com (who I will be writing a complaint about these people also) and responded to a ocean cargo position that Appleone was advertising. I responded to a request for an interview and spoke with a receptionist there. I made it very clear that I was applying for permanant, direct hire job and I asked twice to make very clear that this was not some temporary position or a temporary to permanant position.

When I arrived I spoke to Monica, who is the person who told me this was a direct hire job not a temporary to permanant position. This is a 'direct hire" job right? I spoke to you last week to confirm that. She said, "Uh I am not sure, we have temp to perm jobs open right now, maybe Christine has one I do not know about". I said "Monica, you are the one I spoke to about this and you told me it was a direct hire, in fact I asked you twice". She said I did not remember and that maybe Christine knew more about it.

Of course I was getting that, "I'm getting scammed" feeling. I spoke with Christine, who was a half hour late for my appointment and was the account executive and found out it was a temporary to permanant position. She tried to explain that a lot of people don't understand temporary to permanant and that if I worked out, I would soon be permanant. I would just be on Appleones payroll until the company hired me. I told her that I was lied to to come in here and I understood that with a temporary to permanant job I would lose my health care benefits through KOA and if I lost my job in under 30 days in Virginia i would also lose my unemployment benifits.

This is something everyone should be aware of,  you will have big problems getting back on the unemployment rolls if you are not hired full time and are fired under 30 days time. Also you will no longer be able to have your old insurance under KOA, you will have NO health insurance in fact. That is why I wanted to be sure it was a direct hire to a full time job.

I do not like being unemployed, I am trying hard to find work. Now I get to pay for dry cleaning bills for my suit, gas and more mileage on an aging car with issues. The scam here is bait and switch, do not use Appleone, do not believe them.
