This company advertises "Free dryer" with the purchase of a washer $699, but there is a rebate from the water department of $100 for energy saving and another rebate of $30, They add to the advertised price with the $100 and $30, making the actual price now $829.00.  But they don't send in the rebate forms, you do and they pocket the $130 rebate money you paid them.  You get the rebates back but still they have added them into the price!  Next they take the total and make you pay taxes on the whole cost (including the rebates!)

I don't think we are taxed on rebates, and if we are not, this company has committed tax fraud!  I also don't think that the rebates we are supposed to benefit from are intended to be charged to the customer!  Oh, and also, while the salesperson was telling me all this head spinning, double talking junk, I happened to fidget with the price card and underneath it was the original price which was much cheaper than the advertised price of $699!    Just a question, was this the same outlet store that had all it's computers confiscated a while back because they were selling extended warranties and pocketing the money, (never sending in the warranties)?

the full amount. I don't think they're doing anything wrong tax wise. However, the charge of the $130 added to the advertised price seems deceptive at the least and dishonest at worst.

I believe I would NOT do business with this company again.
