Around the Table Ripoff. No morals whatsoever. Terrible businessman. Mauldin South Carolina

I hired this person to build me a custom wooden dining table and bench.  I picked it up from his home(actually from his driveway).  When I got the table and bench home, my wife noticed the stain color was different from table and bench. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the bench WAS the color I ordered, but the table was NOT.  The table was stained darker.  I also noticed that the 4X4 stretcher(piece of wood that runs under table) I ordered was actually a 2X4.  Then, my wife leaned on one corner of the table and it wobbled.  

Yes, one leg was cut about 1/4 too short!!!! I contacted the owner, Jay. He requested pictures, which I emailed and/or text to him.  After he recieved them, he confirmed that the table and bench were stained two different color. He offered and I accepted, to delivery us a new bench to match the table.  Me being a nice person, agreed. Even though it was not the stain I ordered. I also did not harp on the short leg. I told him I put a shim under it.  Well, months went by and no bench. I emailed him numerous times. No replies.

I left him a message and comment on Facebook.  He deleted my comments, blocked me and sent me an email refusing to make us and deliver the new bench. Reneging on his offer to fix part of his sloppy workmanship.  I have all his messages, email and texts, as well as photos and the original work order. I will be taking this to small claims court.  This Rippoff Report will remain until I am made whole again, by either small claims court or the business itself. Court filings will proceed on July 28th 2014, if I hear nothing from the business.  Stay classy Jay. I WILL BE heard, loud and clear!!!
