AT-WHOLESALE.COM Rip-off BAIT & SWITCH SPECIALIST Consumer Fraud A Very Deceptive Company A Waste of Your Time Salt Lake UTAH

This is a prime example of the old Bait and Switch tactic from AT-WHOLESALE.COM, from UTAH. I received an email inviting me to look at a web-site from AT-WHOLESALE.COM. Their speciality was to set up a computer store for you. No inventory to buy, no big out of pocket expenses, seemed too easy!

I needed work as I am the only caretaker for my parents who are 89 and 97 years old. I quit a great job in Quantico in order to do this in 1998. Things are tough financially as I can't hold a full or part time job. Caretaking for your folks is a FULL TIME JOB! Anyway, I have passed up zillions of at home work offers as I never thought they were worthwhile. I looked at the website at AT-WHOLESALE.COM and considered it. I sent in an inquiry and was told all about this seemingly simple business.

AT-WHOLESALE.COM said they would provide the website and supply sale items on the website from several catagories they had to offer. You chose the general type of merchandise you wanted or felt comfortable with. I bit. BIG MISTAKE! The very next day after signing up, some slimeball from the AT-WHOLESALE.COM company calls and started asking how much my credit cards would handle, did I have good credit, and then came...would I be interested in extending my credit cards up to $15,000 to purchase inventory to better stock my on line store.

I didn't waste much time thinking about this amazing opportunity and said "hell no"! I'm not extending my credit card to anyone I don't know, for merchandise I've never seen or even evaluated for workmanship, quality, and origin. I should have already known this but I guess my mind passed wind at the wrong time. For all I know this stuff may be directly from China! Nothing wrong with that but it's the idea that China and/or other overseas nations have a habit of flooding our markets with crap, dumping poor quality products on out markets slowing up internal USA manufacturing and production, eventually putting people out of work. No thanks!

I told this person I wasn't interested in doing this and in fact I wanted out, reverse my contract, I quit, stop, do not persue any further! And while he was at ending my contract, drop my CARS SERVICES INTERNATIONAL agreement to process all of these great sales items I'm to have in my AT-WHOLESALE.COM store. I followed up myself with CARD SERVICES INTERNATIONAL and soon found out they are crooks also, but that's another story. I smelled a rat, and a big one at that.

If you can smell a rat from all the way over in UTAH, it's got to be fat and especially dirty. They took their sweet time but eventually cancelled me out. Please don't do the same as I did and just try something like this BEFORE you check them out. I haven't had the same success with the CARD SERVICES INTERNATIONAL people though. They really want to hang on to that $140 they took. I had to spend $29.00 at the bank to cancell out their withdrawals.

When CARD SERVICES INTERNATIONAL found out I stopped them, they wrote a letter saying that if I didn't pay, CARD SERVICES INTERNATIONAL would report me to the three credit reporting bureaus. They really stink. Stay away from both companies!

The sum of this is to be very careful about who you give any information to. You might think twice dealing face to face with these people, but when it comes to the internet, you can't see the deception in their eyes, the dirty clothes they wear, and the bad breath they carry with them. On the internet, it all seems clean and problem free. WATCH OUT for that illusion. Many if not most of these companies are ONLY AFTER YOUR MONEY AND DON'T CARE HOW LOW AND DECEPTIVE THEY HAVE TO BE TO GET IT!
