Avalon School of Cosmetology Steals Your Money & Then Treat You Like Dirt Mesa, Arizona

Buyer beware if you go to this place!!  I had an appointment for a cut and color but was in great physical pain on the day of the appointment.  When I showed up, the student-stylist and I jointly agreed that we should skip the color to save time since I was feeling so bad.  She gave me a haircut and I paid and went home to rest.  Shortly thereafter I realized that even though I only had a haircut, I had been also been charged for the color so I called the school and was told I could come in for a refund.  A few weeks later I went in to get my refund and they refused to give me one, citing a "no refund" policy.  Instead, they wanted to give me a store credit.  I refused to accept the store credit because I did not buy anything, return anything, or express dissatisfaction with a service.  I was overcharged, plain and simple.  They made a mistake by charging me too much money and then refused to do the right thing.  I called to complain and the person on the phone was very rude and implied that I was lying, even though she saw the "credit" in the computer.  What kind of reputable business can't admit when they made a mistake and just do the ethical thing?  It was their error and they overcharged me.  To refuse to give it back is like stealing.  And offering a store credit in exchange for an overcharge seems pretty shady to me.  This place demonstrated a total lack of ethics, poor customer service, and unprofessional staff.  I'm warning you... watch them closely or you too will be robbed by these sly thieves.  Better yet, go have your hair done at a real salon where they care about the customer and do business in an honest fashion.
