This company violates every rule of the Federal Do Not Call Registry! They must think they're about the law! Beware!!!
This company called me, identifying themselves as Visa/Mastercard. Then they have the recording that you listen to. It's pretty cheesy, with some guy trying to get you pumped up on making tons of money. It sounded somewhat interesting, so I requested some information to either mail or e-mail me. For some reason, they can't do that. They always refer to the fact that they offer a money-back guarantee. So I told them I did not have any credit cards on me, therefore they weren't going to get what they wanted.
I did some investigating & came to the conclusion that I didn't want to be affiliated with them. For whatever reason, telling them no just isn't good enough. They will call you every day! After a week of this, I told them that my phone # has been registered with the Do Not Call Registry for a very long time. Then they tell me that they can't guarantee that someone else from their offices won't call me again.
Bottom line - I have told them at least half a dozen times to put me on their do not call list. Once you tell a company that, they are NOT allowed to keep calling you. I thought maybe I finally got through to them when I didn't get a call for almost a week. Then they call me TWICE today!!! Enough is enough - they tested my patience. I filed a complaint on the Do Not Call Regsitry website since they have violated about every rule.

Bank Card Empire had the editor at Ripoff Reports e-mail me in order to resolve any complaints. My only complaint was the fact they wouldn't leave me alone, even though I'm on the Federal Do Not Call registry, and they would not put me on their do not call list. It turns out that it is NOT Bank Card Empire itself that is causing the problems - it is 3rd party telemarketing companies they contract with. I'm sure these telemarketing companies only have 1 goal & that is to get your credit card number. They don't really care what happens after that.
I've also noticed in the past few months that there appears to be a number of telemarketing companies located in Arizona that just don't play by the rules. It's too bad that they're out there giving good companies bad reputations.
Bank Card Empire sent me the following:
Unfortunately, when Bankcard Empire started our home based affiliate opportunity, we contracted outside licensee companies to do the recruiting, calling, sign ups selling, etc. We are a merchant services provider, not a telemarketing company. As hard as we tried to find the "right" type of call centers, some of the licensee companies did not follow the guidelines we gave them. We have been making huge strides to correct and/or detach ourselves from those that exhibited the behavior described in your complaint. We do apologize for the repeated calls that you received, and we hope that this issue has been permanently resolved.
This shows me that Bank Card Empire is reputable and they care about their reputation. I would suggest that if you have any questions about the home based business, contact Bank Card Empire directly & get all the information you need. I'd like to thank Bank Card Empire for the way they handled this complaint.

Oops - typo in the second sentence of the original posting. I meant to type they must think they're ABOVE the law rather than ABOUT the law!
