Bank Of America Credit Card Services Paid in full and still being reported on credit report Charlotte North Carolina

I opened an account with Bank Of America Card Services in August of 2005. I used their card with no problems until October 2006. I called BofA in late October and requested a payoff amount and was given the total. I then forwarded the full amount but they are still showing I owe a little over $600 and have charged off the account and sold it to a collection agency. I explained to the collection agency and faxed them copies of the paid checks but have yet to hear anything from either company. The debt still comes up on my credit reports and I am still in the process of disputing. Please do not deal with this company in anyway. If you do choose to deal with them make absolutely sure you have everything in writing, even then don't be suprised when they deal unjustly with you.
