I have being a Customer of Bank Of America since 1997 and have several Accounts with them. This month BOFA charged $ 10.00 for overdraft protection. I went to the Cordelia, Fairfield,Ca branch and spoke to officer and she said if you link A/C with my checking A/C 00664-18387 , ther want be any charges. There for i link the A/C 05609-01345 with the checking A/C .

Allthough BOFA said they want charge they have charge another $ 10.00 on 10/22/2010.These a fraudulent charges and i want my money back.Earlier BOFA was charging services charges and as aresult i have to clase ne of my accounts.I am ot satisfied with these bad buisness practices.

Close the accounts..

You did not have to close the accounts because of the charges. You only needed to inform the bank you no longer want the overdraft protection. But, if I am reading correctly it seems you posted your account numbers here? You are aware this forum is open to the general public. Now you must close them.

And once you close the accounts next time you open one tell the bank you do not want any kind of overdraft protection. It is always a scam and the only thing it protects is the bank..it assures them that they will get fees from your errors or naivety one way or the other.

If you keep track of the account you will have no reason for overdraft protection. Use a credit card or alternate account for emergencies.
