I have been to Barnes and Noble Bookstore at Ala Moana Shopping Center in Honolulu, Hawaii in the past. There is this girl named Liz who works at the customer service desk at the center of the store.
It's ironic how this employee works at the "customer service" desk, as she lacks good customer service quality.
I complained to the manager of the bookstore about Liz's conduct and her attitude problem, and he said that he will talk to her.
After not going to Barnes and Nobles for a couple of months, I went back a couple weeks ago with my family. Still the same sh-t attitude from her. BTW, she tends to work on weekends in the evening.
Same ol' demeanor. She slams the books near where my son was looking at a book at the customer service counter, coughs on us. I also overheard her bragging loudly to her co-worker how she's smart and wants to go to law school. She still acts cocky to other customers. LOL! I doubt this employee with this kind of attitude could make a good attorney.
I decided to take a video recording of this employee, Liz. Here is a link to the video.
http://vimeo.com/23788049 It's the girl behind the counter and computer wearing the pink sweat shirt. You can see her face briefly when she turns around.
I'm just warning consumers to beware of how this employee interacts with you.
Barnes and Noble Bookstore at Ala Moana is a great bookstore. It's just that this particular employee (liz) spoils the fun for customers who want to be treated like a customer.
Mahalo.

Don't see it

I watched the video and she did provide good customers service to the customer who was requesting a book. She provided info on how long it would take for the book to come in and also provided an option of how she could get it sooner and gave the customer directions to the location
Doesn't seem like bad customer service to me. I would also agree with others there is no rip off here.

Ok, I'm not disputing the fact that this person might be rude, but this is hardly the thing that needs to be on ROR. It's called ripoff report; not rude person report. You didn't lose any money, so go complain on Facebook or something.
By the way, videotaping people without their knowledge is kind of creepy and probably illegal.
