I was instructed to go to Bartow Regional Hospital for an outpatient procedure ordered by my doctor. I checked in as instructed and followed the gentleman who brought me to a room. 4 nurses arrived an hooked me up to all kinds of machines. I said this is not needed, I am here for an outpatient procedure. They said "you are in the emergency room dear". A doctor arrived and said another doctor I have never even heard of called and said I need to be in the ER. She said I did not need the procedure and ordered a routine blood test.
1/2 hour later she said everything was fine and I could leave. I was there a total of 1.5 hours. They said I had $100 co-pay for an ER visit.
They scammed me and my insurance company for an ER visit for a blood test that could have been done at Lab Corp. Beware of this company charging ER visit for routine outpatient procedures and lab work. So, an unknown doctor ordered me to be in the ER. and then I was released 1.5 hours later fine. Never received the procedure. This is brazen Fraud
