Best Moving Van Lines (DOT: 1778644) Beware of Best Moving Van Lines (DOT: 1778644) Internet

9/15/09:  Best Moving Van Lines (DOT #1778644) lied to me several times and did not show up to move my furniture as confirmed and promised. 

First thing Sunday morning (9/13/09) I spoke with Tony.  He said that the crew would arrive between 1:00 to 3:00 pm and they would call me one hour before they got there.  They did not call.  I called back at 3:00 pm and was told that the time had changed and it would be from 4:00-5:00 pm.  At 4:45 pm I called and was told they were on the way and they would be there at 5:00 pm.  No one showed up.  I called at 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm and no one answered. 

I made more phone calls to several phone numbers (408-898-6262 and 408-370-9515 and 877-668-3880) in an attempt to receive information about my move and no one answered.  I left voice mail messages at one number and no one returned my calls.  At one number the mail box was already full. 

The quote they sent me (Reference #33330) and the verbal assurance (by Peter, 877-668-3880) that they would move me on 9/13/09 were a contract and they breached that contract. 

I spoke with Ben (408-898-6262) on Monday 9/14/09 at 7:50 am and he said the crew got tied up at another job and could not make it on Sunday.  He said David would call me to make an appointment for another day.  David never called.

I believe Best Moving Van Lines is a fraud and tricked me into providing my credit card number to them.  This is a serious situation now that they have my credit card number and other personal information such as addresses and work schedule.  I will contact my credit card company to warn them that my credit card may be subject to fraudulent activity.   I will contact the State Department of Consumer Affairs and the Department of Transportation to file formal complaints against Best Moving Van Lines.
