Well I make a complaint about the Chase Bank of WAMU and the Attorney General of WAshington send me this e-mail:

Dear EH:
Washington Mutual has not responded to our letters and telephone calls concerning your complaint. Since our office cannot force firms to answer correspondence or make adjustments, there is no further assistance this office can provide.

The terms of the Consumer Protection Act do not permit this office to act as your private attorney when the firm refuses to answer or make an adjustment. We do bring lawsuits against firms systematically violating the Consumer Protection Act. However, these suits must be brought in the name of the people of the State of Washington, and we cannot sue on behalf of any individual. The fact that we are not able to be of direct assistance to you does not necessarily reflect on the validity of your claim, and you may wish to contact a private attorney who will advise you further.

We regret that we are not able to help you at this time. However, your complaint will become a part of our permanent record and may aid us in establishing at some future date that a pattern of illegal business conduct does exist, requiring action by this office as outlined above.

Thank you for taking the time to contact our office. I am sorry that we could not resolve the matter in dispute.

Then I also make a complaint at the Better Business Bureau and it was handle by BBB Columbus Ohio

Here is what they said to me after I dispute the reason Chase gave to them:

You have indicated that you are not satisfied with the business responses to date.

The business has has not made any further offers or adjustments, in follow-up to the most recent exchange of information through BBB.

This complaint is now closed as unresolved.

BBB can not pursue the matter further through our dispute resolution services at this time. Your own legal counsel, the Ohio Attorney General's Office Consumer Protection Section, or other legal or regulatory resources may be of further assistance anytime a dispute remains unresolved.

Please understand that the company's level of cooperation regarding this complaint becomes a part of their BBB Reliability Report.

Seems to me no one is listening to all this complaint even we try to ask for help they only place it on file.

I thought the BBB will help me as I cannot afford to get a lawyer and so as the Attorney General but hey, we are only small people who do not have as many money as Chase Bank. So maybe I just keep on complaining all my experience so that someone willl not be hurt as what WAMU and Chase are doing to me.

Please do not make any more complaint to BBB or to any Attorney General specially if your complaining about a big big company with lots of money.

Just tell your bad experince with all these company so we can be of help with others.

The AG Will Be on Your Side with More Complaints

I too went to my AG about a complaint against the BBB.  My AG office told me that it can't help just me, but if they received many similar complaints they would investigate.  I have been working on getting more complaints to the AG since.


My advice is to encourage all who have issues like yours to file a complaint with the AG.  It doesn't even have to be with the same bank.  Your AG should help you once they have enough evidence of wholesale wrongdoing, where ever it may be.  They live for such things.

1. BBB WILL NOT HELP- see the link provided by ROR as to why you cannot count on the BBB for assistance..
2. FOR ASSISTANCE WITH BANKS -you have to contact the CORRECT agencies - NOT STATE GOVERNMENT -YOU GO TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT - www.FTC.GOV AND WWW.OTS.GOV


I also had issues with WAMU that they refused to deal with - I send my complaints to the CORRECT Government agencies and because I filed the complaints with the FTC and OTS - my issues with WAMU were resolved in MY FAVOR!

ftc compiles complaint data only - for other agencies - OTS actually works on your behalf to resolve the issues. BANKS CANNOT IGNORE COMPLAINTS THAT COME IN VIA THE OFFICE OF THRIFT SUPERVISION.

How did I find these? I actually took the time to look for them! THE INTERNET IS A TOOL -NOT A TOY!

Take the initiative and USE THE INTERNET as the TOOL to help you - instead of just complaining about things on complaint boards..

Furthermore, I also make a complaint to FDIC Division of Supervision and Consumer Protection and to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). and wrote a bunch of complaint on any website that will hear me and to all forums, yeheyyy..me...


And for my grammar, English is my second language and they do not need to know that I am Asian as long as this officials or any americans can understand what is my complaint in simple english then I am happy to say I love AMERICANS, not african american, nor canadian american just AMERICANS. yahooo... I love americans.. I am a citizen...American Citizen...
