On July 18, 2012, I purchased 2 sets of corn hole game bags from BG Boards via their website. I promptly received an email from BG Boards stating that they received my order & I should allow up to 7 days to receive my order & that I would receive a tracking number once the order was shipped. 

I waited nearly a week without hearing anything regarding my shipment. Therefore, I decided to call the number listed on their website to find out what the status was. It went directly to voice mail, so I left a message asking for an update. A couple days passed by and I realized that they never bothered to call me back, so I called again. Again, voice mail.

This time I left another message to please call me back to update me on the status of my order. I let a couple more days pass. Again, never got a call back. So I did some digging and found another number listed for TJ Petrie, the owner of BG Boards. I called and left a message asking why I haven't received my order & why no one ever returns my calls. TJ called me back the following morning & had some sort of excuse saying that he had a medical emergency & that they have fallen behind in their orders. He promised me that he would get my order out in the next day or two. That was on August 7th, almost 3 full weeks after I had placed the order. 

The remainder of the week & the following weekend came and went without ever hearing from BG Boards. I called again on August 14th. This time, someone picked up the phone. I asked about the status of my order. The guy on the phone said he didn't have the information in front of him & he was going to have to check the computer & call me back. He said "I'll call you right back". Never got a call back! Infuriating! 

I called again Friday, August 17th stating that I had better either have the order delivered by Monday, August 20, or have a full refund of my money. I never received a call back. 

I called again on Sunday, August 19th reminding them that I will file a report on them if I didn't have my order by Monday, or a full refund by the end of business on August 20th. I did not receive a call back, I did not receive my order, and I never received a credit like I had asked. 

After all that, I did receive an automatically generated email from them on the afternoon of the 20th stating that the order had shipped. After checking my email yesterday, I realized I also had an email from UPS with a tracking number. Things were looking up!

Once I clicked on the link, I realized that my order still had not shipped. In fact, all they did was print out a shipping label, but the package had not been picked up or dropped off at UPS yet. So now we are going on 34 days. I have only actually gotten a call back once in that time after 5 weeks of trying to reach someone. The only time they ever made an attempt to send my order was after I threatened them with further action & still they have not shipped the order! 

This company, in my opinion, has no idea what they are doing. They claim 110% customer satisfaction on their website, but I personally have received 0%. In fact, this is the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced from any company, online or not. Stay clear of these guys & do yourself a favor and never do business with BG Boards. They will take your money & give you the runaround until you give up. It's a big scam  

I called again this morning. Again, voice mail. I told them I would give them one hour to respond before I file this report. One hour has passed now. Again, no response! I've given them enough chances to follow through. Completely ridiculous! If BG keeps this up, they'll be out of business in no time.

BG Boards still ripping people off 2018

i didnt see the original report until after trying to buy a set of boards from BG.  The same thing happened to me! Placed a $266. Order on September 11th 2018.  Their third party card processor took the money immediatey.  After one week, tried to contact through their web page, to find out when they would ship, never replied.  Found a phone # (had to goggle search for it), straight to voice mail (I tried more then 10 times during business hours without success). Called my credit cardcompany to cancel, at first  they did, then BG argued with them, and they recharged my card. My wife did manage to get a reply via Facebook messenger ( two moths later) the liars said they would resolve right away.  The next day, we found they had kicked us off their Facebook page and deleted the messages. 

The whole ordeal has been very frustrating And has gone on now for more than three months.

getting screwed out of $266 is not the end of the world...it’s the principle of it.  The fact that this so called company, is still in business, gets my blood pressure rising. 

I plan to find out where BG is located and pay a visit.  I will get my money back. I will also be contacting the BBB and spreading the word about this horrible company, until they are closed.

BG Boards Reliable

I purchased my first Cornhole set from BG two years ago.  Shortly after I ordered I saw this website and was afraid I had made a mistake ordering from them.  I called and left a message and the owner called me back.  He assured me it would be shipped and I received it on time as promised.  The quality was beyond my expectations and I have been giving it a lot of use.  I recently ordered two new sets of Cornhole Bags from BG and they sent me a confirmation email along with updated status reports of the tracking info.  It arrived yesterday and again the products surpassed my expectations.  The custom made bags are perfect.  I am a small business owner and I realize how important your reputation is.  Whatever BG did 4 years ago to some customers is not indicative of how they are operating now.  I would highly recommend them and I hope people understand how growing pains can effect a new business.  Thanks  Sam Carlino

Hello,

 My name is TJ and I am the President of BG Boards and Graphics LLC.  I would like to take a moment to tell my side of the story concering this report filed against me and my company.  Yes, it's true that in the past my business provided poor customer service and horrible delivery delays as well as other problems.  We experienced a few bouts of what I'll call "growing pains".  This all started out as a hobby.  I tell people all the time I'm a hobbyist turned businessman.  I didn't always do things the right way, most times out of ignorance.  I didn't always make the right decisions.  One thing I can tell you with 100% certainty is that we NEVER set out to take advantage of people or scam customers out of hard earned money.  Our model was simple.  We set out to be a high quality cornhole boards and bag distributor at a price that everyone could afford.  Unfortunatley for us this proved to be a double edged sword.  When orders hit, they hit HARD and honestly caught us off guard bigtime on more than one occasion.  This business may seem simple in design but on the back end it's anything but.  It's easy to get caught up in the "perfect storm".  There have been several occasions where we got hit with way more orders at one time than we were capable of handling and things backed up quick.  This happened in part by lack of good help, lack of proper management and business understanding and lack of working capital to invest in a proper inventory.  Eventually, we dug out, learned from our mistakes, changed our processes and moved on.

 Fast forward 4 years.  It's now 2016 and we operate a 6000 square foot facility manufacturing over 200 sets of boards and over 1000 sets of bags each month.  We have our own dedicated departments for cornhole boards, cornhole bags and plastic pellets.  We even have our own in house graphics department where we design and print full board graphics on our top of the line Roland eco solvent printer.  We have over 100 wholesale customers all around the US who buy our products by the pallet slightly below retail and resell in their areas.  We have built up a solid reputation selling on Etsy and Ebay.  We now have an extremely satisfied customer base with many repeat customers.  We have this business operating like the well oiled machine that I always knew it could be.  The machine I set out to build when I started this venture in 2005 in my garage selling local 1 off customs.  We haven't always been perfect and at times very far from it.  

Here's the bottom line:  People can change and companies can too.  Were not the same company we were in 2012 or even a year ago for that matter.  To the best of my knowledge we have made restitution with all the unfortunate customers who were caught up our lack of business organization and understanding.  Some have refused and it's possible that some have fallen through the cracks in the wake of our past disorganization.  To those customers we would like to extend the opportunity to right our wrongs.  If you're reading this and happened to fall victim to our old business practices we want to hear from you.  We're happy to do whatever it takes to make sure you get a fair resolve.  To the potential customer reading this:  please do not let these reports scare you away from purchasing a set of arguably the best cornhole boards and bags on the market.  Rest assured that your order will arrive timely and in perfect playing condition.  On this you have my word.  Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope to have happy dealings with you soon!

Same experience as the two previous authors, I made multiple attempts to contact seller with no success.  I have contacted the Ohio States Attorney Consumer Advocate Division to help me get my money back.  TJ, If you are unable to fullfil the orders or the item is on backorder, please indicate on your website.  Please don't take our money and then don't have the decency to own up to the truth.  This has been a sucky experience and hope you go out of business.

I have had the exact same experience with bg boards. It is a 100% scam. They do not ship items and they do not respond to any emails or phone calls. This TJ guy is going to have a huge karma sh$% storm coming to him after ripping off family's that want to purchase games for their children. Have fun in h**l brother, you'll have lots of company!
