We hired this contractor to build an addition to our home in June 2010.

Roughly 700 square feet, new master bedroom, new kitchen, and some interior changes.
Now, in December of 2010, it's 50% complete, and nearly all work performed is either sub-standard, or terribly deviated from the engineering drawings.
The contractor was subsequently released, nearly the entire renovation needs rebuilt, and we are out $66,000.

He falsified city permit information, did work without the proper certifications, and hid major discrepencies in regards to the foundation and framing of this home. Defects are being discovered daily as we slowly tear down the build to investigate.

We have also discovered Brian's colorfull past in public court records. This wasn't the first time he deceived and stole from the public.

After a meeting with City Inspectors in February 2011, this contractor agreed to make repairs to the major code violations only.
 
By June 2011, this contractor claims to be broke and unable to make the required repairs.
