To Whom It May Concern:

My husband and I leased a 2005 Jeep Wrangler with Superstition Springs Chrysler Jeep 6130 E. Auto Park Drive, Mesa, AZ 85206. The lease ends June 26, 2008. On June 22, 2008 I purchased a new Jeep at Power Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Phoenix, AZ. Before purchasing the new vehicle I contacted Bill Arterberry through the Superstition Springs dealership on June 22, 2008. Sunday is Bills day off and I contacted him directly on his cell phone as advised by the receptionist at the dealership. During this phone conversation he seemed intoxicated and was slurring his speech. I have since learned from Wendy Ramirez that Bill Arterberry is, a respected elder, a member of the LDS church and does not drink and takes medication for his health problems. Perhaps his medication affected his speech. Regardless he should not be accepting customer phone calls on his day off if he is incapacitated.

During the Sunday June 22 phone call we gave Bill the opportunity to sell us a Jeep at his dealership if he could match the printed price quote we received from Power Chrysler Jeep Dodge. He stated that the price quote for the Jeep Liberty we were looking at was too low and there is no way the price is accurate. We then asked Bill why we shouldnt buy the Jeep from his competitor if the price is so low and his response was to badmouth the Power Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership stating there would be hidden fees.

Bill Arterberry advised me that if I purchase a vehicle through a different Chrysler Jeep dealership he will refuse my lease return, but the Power Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership advised me I can return my leased jeep to any Chrysler Jeep dealership.

Monday June 23, 2008 I contacted the Chrysler corporate office to set up a lease return appointment and was once again advised I can return my Jeep to any Chrysler Jeep dealership. I contacted Bill and he angrily told me that I have to return the Jeep to the dealership where I purchased my new vehicle. So I contacted the Chrysler corporate office again and the customer service agent connected me with Wendy Ramirez at Superstition Springs Chrysler Jeep and she told me to bring in my leased vehicle any time on June 23 and she would process the return. I immediately brought in the vehicle. Once I arrived at the dealership Wendy contacted Bill and I could hear him speaking loudly to her on the phone and she left her office. Once Wendy returned she said they would be unable to process the lease return and I have to return the vehicle to the dealership where I purchased my new vehicle. When I asked Wendy why her dealership is not following Chrysler corporate policy her response was that their dealership is full and Chrysler is not picking up leased returns as agreed. I then left Wendys office and thanked her for wasting my time to which she replied, youre welcome.

So now I am forced to return my leased Jeep Wrangler to the dealership where I purchased my new vehicle which is 60 miles round trip from my home. Contractually Superstition Springs Chrysler Jeep should accept my lease return.

#3 Consumer Suggestion

Pull up my report on Airpark Chrysler Jeep to get a suggestion about how to deal with car dealers that don't keep their promises

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 15, 2009

First: when I was reading your report it reminded me of my visit to Earnhardt Dodge a few months ago. When I pulled out some newspaper advertisements to show them to their sales person he immediately explained that I would not get the car for the advertised car "... they have only one car at the advertised price" It pretty much looked like its part of their sales training to learn what to tell customers who quote other dealers prices.

Second: to make statements and promises and not to follow through is obviously part of the car sales game. Pull up my report about my experience with Airpark Chrysler Jeep in Scottsdale. I received some advise from Ripoffreports consumer advocate and it worked pretty well.

#2 REBUTTAL Individual responds

SLANDER AND LIBEL-are false or malicious claims that may harm someone's reputation.

AUTHOR: Ba - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 18, 2008

Dear anonymous,

The malicious claim that you are publicly making about me is incorrect. I was not drinking, intoxicated or medicated by any means whatsoever during our phone conversation. The public slandering of my name has forced me to consult an attorney about my options towards you for defamation of character. Rip off report provides a great service for consumers to get help about an issue. It is not for slandering a person by making false and erroneous claims.

As for your statement about me being LDS that is incorrect as well. I also at no point bad mouthed Power Chrysler Jeep. I simply stated that since it is so far from your house to make sure they disclosed all their fees to you up front. I also explained to you that the SMART option would be to return your Jeep at the dealership you bought your new jeep from so you could avoid having to pay a lease termination fee. If you recall our first conversation I did try and help you by pointing out money saving lease loyalty rebates that you were not aware of.

As far as your comments Mr. Tick, I certainly appreciate that you are a customer advocate. But I am sure a person as overly educated as you would want to get the facts straight before calling someone a clown. Mr. Tick I'm sure everyone thinks your extensive vocabulary and incredible spelling would be better used towards helping fellow consumers rather than defaming a person or there name.

You can do a lease return to ANY Chrysler dealer you want, This Guy/Clown is not telling you the truth. So much being a member of the LDS church. A car salesman is a CAR SALESMAN PERIOD, no matter what chruch the CLOWN goes to.

I have a way to piss off this car dealer if you want to, Just email the editor of this web site and PROVE YOU and ONLY YOU posted this Rip Off Report and have him send your contact info to me. Then I will tell you how to stick it to this dealer and after you stick it to this dealer you then can post it all on your Rip Off Report as an update for all to see. they we can send a copy tp Chrysler Motor Corp. I am shure they would love to peep it AFTER we are done!

Just prove who you are to the Editor and ask him to send your contact info to Me!

When I get done, Bill Arterberry will hate me! When a car dealer's CLOWNS hate me, I know that I have done my best work!
