I purchased a gift certificate for my daugter to be used in her area. I paid approximately $250.00 for it.
She subsequently lost the certificate. I called BnBFinder to request that they cancel the first one and re-issue another one.
They refused saying that they have no way of cancelling a certificate number. On top of that this person who called herself "Mary" stated that they get "thousands of requests" for this and do not honor any of them.
I find it hard to believe that in this day and age there are not numbers that the bed and breakfasts check with online to be sure that they have not gotten a counterfit certificate. I also contend that it is not impossible to void a certificate and re-issue another one and that these people are in effect "stealing".

When purchasing items such as these you should ALWAYS use a credit card. You are given certain protections with a credit card and can always issue a chargeback when things like this occur.
