Butcher's Choice Meat ripoff Illinois

I was victim of the old bait and switch routine. First mistake was in letting these hustlers into my home. That was a big mistake as I also noticed my checkbook missing after they left. They did a hustle and shuffle routine where packages were everywhere. Dumping one box of meat open on top of another until I wasn't even sure what I was looking at longer. Both men talked so fast and over me that I was very confused. When I said I wanted to wait til my wife and son got home, they became very angry and almost threatening.

I wrote them a check - the last time I saw my check book - for $493.00. They gave me a generic receipt with no phone number or company name on it. I did get a phone number off the side of the truck for a location in Michigan. My son and I both called this company that afternoon, but no one would return our calls. We were just told continually that someone would call back. The next day, we stopped payment on the check. The the sh-t hit the fan. 15-20 phone calls a day from these people anytime during the day from 9 or 9 pm and going on til 3 or 4 in the morning. This went on for FOUR WEEKS!!

Each call more harrassing and threatening then the last. Also a avalanche of obscene calls which I suspect came from them. We were even told that they just wanted to come back and get their meat so they could repackage it for selling. NO WAY were these people getting into my home at FOUR O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING. Then we noticed their truck parked 1/2 block away just watching our home for several days in a row. FINALLY we contacted our condo security service and they were ticketed and told they would be arrested for trespassing should they return to the subdivision.

Well, fool me once shame on you - try to fool me twice and you'll be met with a loaded shot gun while I call the police.

BEWARE these are con men.
